Another header question.

Ok for you seasoned 93-96 Altima owners (or whoever can chime in). I have a Maxima, and I'm not buying cheap parts for it. However, I got a 94 Altima and it needs a new flex section along with muffler. After scouring around the interwebz for a bit, I found this (see below). I was wondering if any one has and input on these, or if I should look elsewhere. I'm not looking for something fancy dancey or anything like that, just something cheaper then OEM parts (ebay looks to be it, and no junk yard exhaust). So my question again is, what do you think about these? Also, if negative, please offer some others. I looked at OBX but they dont have the 93-96....only 97-01, and I don't care for Stillen. Thanks from a noob Altima owner!

For ref on why I dont want a lot of money into the car, see here for my "fix" thread.

dependent upon the budget, a good muffler shop could MAKE the pieces for you that you need. however it will probably break the bank for this car...

for $60 that ebay piece seems like the best option... imo

if i was in your shoes thats what i would do in a heartbeat, for that price you cant go wrong...

i am almost positive that it will need some finessing to get it to fit properly, but i think that it will be well worth it

I say do it. The egr should bolt up fine and the O2 should as well, now getting the egr out, that's a different story. The bend after the flex pipe is normal(standard) with all of the headers that you'll see for the 1st or 2nd gen altimas. Also, that header would be ideal for a 93 or 94, since they are OBD1. And the OBX header will fit all KA altimas 93-01. OBX Header 93-97 98-01 Nissan Altima KA24DE FWD Exhaust:eBay Motors (item 190335546401 end time Sep-22-09 22:09:43 PDT)

Or you can be extra cheap like me and buy a used OBX...

not the best with the 4-1. I had to use a dremel on the inside of the flange for the flex/downpipe. Now it fits fine. If I could go back, I would've just bought the generic header, just because it has a flange that bolts up. But I havent installed my header yet because getting that egr out of the stock manifold is a pita.

egr is the hardest part of the entire install.....but you will have to grind a small piece of the block (its nothing major its a tab they used during production that didnt get taken off...)
