haha thanks. i'm planning to get a new resonator. It doesn't sound too loud right now.
yea your exhaust sounded great but I forgot to add that it was too quiet I could hear more of the engine than more of the engine exhaust sound coming throughout the exhaust but it def. is a looker... Are you running the stock resonator right now?

yep i'm running stock resonator. 2.25 piping from the resonator to the mufflers. I got hookups for the mandrel bends
can I ask how much you got mandrel bends for? Mandrel bends are hot! Did you ever consider just taking out the res?
mandrel bent piping from resonator to muffler with muffler welding and all cost me 110. The guy recommended taking the resonator out and going 2.25 piping to the cat but i didn't want it too loud. i knew i was going to get a smaller resonator so i stopped there. i don't want the whole neighborhood on my case, cuz my neighborhood is quite quiet.

Wow! what a good deal. Wish I could get a deal like that. I think my guy wants too much to do it. But he's known for the absolute best custom exhaust work in town. He doesn't do mandrel bend but uses really good guage pipping and a crusher that uses smooth bends that makes it look closer to mandrel bend. I think he wants $300+tax maybe more but that is just too much. Good choice going quiet sometimes quieter is better.

oooh i guess i got it easy. what does a crush bend machine look like?

well its just this big machine probably the same like a mandrel bending machine. You basically shove the desired pipe and then use a lever to crush and bend it. Its pretty much the same as mandrel except when it crushes the pipping it comes out smaller in that area. As mandrel stays consistent w/ the same size all the way through. Damn it! thats what I want. But I know thats going to go $600+tax. Not worth it. Are you getting headers also? What made you get mandrel instead of crush bends?

i was not going to go mandrel bends if it wasn't for the price. my friend hooked me up with the guy so i got it cheap. otherwise, i woulda went with the cheaper cost.
Mandrel bends are worthless for any N/A VQ35DE or QR25DE motor.....
...thus you piss money down the drain.
I wouldnt say they were worthless in his situation. He did go w/ small pipping and got a bad@$$ deal better than what I probably could have gotten any day. But yea other than that its probably not worth it enless you had turbo...
