Technically its not a replacement for the upper and lower manifolds in the way that most of us FWD 3.5 owners think of the upper and lower manifold. What they refer to when they say upper and lower are the two halves of their upper plenums. I believe that the lower part of the intake manifold is identical for all 3.5s though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It sure looks like it would bolt right on an FWD 3.5 though - possibly with a different neck on it.
Or something similar could be easily fabricated for that price.
thanks for the info on the plenum. I learn something everyday. but this looks not only mad crazy hot, also gives me some hp on the proccess. if it fits I'm sold.
I saw your product for the 350z / G35 and all I can say is wow.... Very impressive design and it looks awesome. I'm an involved member on Altimas.net (Nissanclub.com) and we have been searching for an upgraded / replacement intake manifold (Upper / Lower Plenum) for the 2002-2005 Nissan Altima 3.5 models. We share the same engine with the Z and G (VQ35DE) and I'm trying to figure out if it would fit properly or not. I know for a fact that the Crawford
intake manifold is not compatible with the Altimas but that is the upper plenum only. Once this is a complete upper and lower replacement I would love to find a way to make this work. There are currently 40+ members on the forums currently looking for this upgrade from previous posts.
If you would be willing to investigate this further I would extremely appreciated it!
Thanks,

I forwarded them to my personal photo gallery (Which is censored on Altimas.net, a BIG "WTF??") which should provide plenty of images they could use.
Here's another definite option to our manifold solution...
I've got another email from them and they seem to be very interested as it would be fairly easy to modify their 350z / G35 design to incorporate into our Altimas.
I'll let you guys know of any real concrete info when I get it.

Thanks, Velicos;
Keep up the good work. If the dyno is true for the N/A version, then I'm in. Nice midrange power.
Nothing from the past 2 days. They seemed to be really interested in the current turbo kits for our cars for some reason or another. I asked them why in the last email, will find out soon though.
if we can get a turbo kit for about 4 grand then they are going to be popular. it doesn't matter if we don't get the 100hp. but we can get at least 75 and that will be more than enough.

Sounds like they are really destracted.
From the looks of the SSV, it appears it would fit but the air intake tubing needs to be shorted from the manifold to for our cars.
Seams like a no brainer since we are talking about modifying it for another VQ engine.
Turbos are nice, but who really wants to spead $4-10k, plus install costs?
I'd prefer to have as much bolt on power mounted first, then do a Turbo or SC.
Get want to get at the test product once they do it.
Yes, I did talk to him! Jamison is da man !
Here is the scoop:
The install is free, cost of the SSV intake is less than $325 for the test mule. SSV intake normally goes for $995. Dyno pulls are the responsibility of the test car owner. Expect to leave the car at their site for 2-3 days.
They need an Altima 3.5L the week of June 13th.
Test mule owner agrees to post his Dyno sheets on the Kinetics and Altimas.net Website.
It would be very cool if we could find a 3.5L test mule with lots of mods to really see what this new intake can do on the Dyno .
