Logan...to answer your questions...if i were to build the VQ35 for boost i would use.....

8.5:1 or 9:1 pistons(lower comp for the boost)
def would do the rods-eagle have ARP bolts (your in the motor...better do them now so if you get the boost bug and power bug you have no worries!!)
Use the OEM nissan bearings
cometic headgaskets(i dont know if they make them for the VQ, i know they did for my SR20)
ARP head bolts and i would use the stock heads(thats just me though)
better vavle springs and retainers( just to be safe)
Then you have to worry about more fuel

I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything, but I wouldn't do it. Well, actually, I've done it and reversed on my last car.

If you're really concerned about sucking in oil, then rig up a couple oil catch cans. You can stick one on that line, and put one on the line from the PCV valve to the IM.

Here's some pics from another member, his name is Kamski. And I think the prices on the receipt are in canadian dollars, so it should be a little cheaper for us.

how much oil did ur catch can pick up from all the oil? jw, iam gonna have to do this myself.

the open air filter on that valve cover nipple will not do anything whatsoever. there are a lot of people like this even turbo people its up to you how you want to vent the valve cover.
