Hey Tim, let me just lay it all out for discussion sake. What would be necessary for the current kit to work on a 6MT?

Getting a car in here and doing it is all it takes. We are doing a 5th gen six speed Maxima right now as well as an 08' Altima Coupe with CVT tranny

Is that belted monster CVT going to be able to handle the extra torque and HP?

how does the tuning stuff that comes with the kit affect an automatic ecu vs a manual? so when u say get a car in here and do it does that mean i can buy the current kit and install it myself and possibily have to make a few minor changes?

It means that we have to possibly rework some of the exhaust piping to get it to fit to a five and six speed. You could but this kit right now and figure out the exahust pipes like the Maximas guys have been doing.

Well, it's been a while since I've been on here, but I am glad to see some optimism as far as making this Turbo kit work on the 6Speeds.

So Tim, you said that if I decided to buy this kit now, the only issue I would have to overcome is working with the exhaust-piping? If so, is there anyway you might at the very least provide a blueprint for this aspect? I only ask since you obviously have some experience with what configuration works best.

I would definitely just bring my ride in and have you guys work on it, but Cali is a total X-Country trip for me.

Thanks for the continued presence on these boards though, and your willingness to answer members questions.

I would call Tim on his cell phone or shop phone with questions regarding your ride. It's the best way from my experience. I would skip on the email too unless he added you to his contacts and even then I would still call him. I say that to save you time because sometimes he gets so many bullsh*t emails he overlooks communication from potential clients and/or customers. He's open Saturday, 12PM - 5PM PST. Peace.

This is awsome. I jus discovered this thread and spent some time reading through it. I have a 05 Altima SE-R 6MT, but i dont plan on doing this mod until next summer. i was just wondering would the turbo fitment on the 6MT be hard to figure out at any local shop? or does it have to be done by SFR? cuz you guys are kinda far away from me... but if i have to make the road trip... i guess ill do it.
