I dunno man, people have cammed their fwd VQ's before with good results but they didn't get near 300 whp iirc. Maybe they didn't tune it well enough or something, though.

one member here, Manibal, has 270 whp with stock rev limiter. His dyno was done a day also. with a few more mods and a higher rev limitier he should hit 300whp or come damn well near it.
his dyno shows the power climbing up all the way to redline. with a rev limit set to 7500rpm he could have hit 280whp. with a SSIM and a true dual exhaust he prolly get 300whp.
Dont forget he had the greddy emanage aswell so if he switched to a UTEC he could squeeze more power out of his current setup. another member (Bigjeff) here has a automatic SE-R with intake headers and tru dual exhaust and dyno'd at 269whp. which makes me beleive with all bolt ons and a good tune, a 6speed or 5speed can hit 300whp.
