Want an exhaust that sounds like a G35 coupe

I've always loved the sound of a G35 Couple exhaust. I'm going to get a new exhaust system soon and I want it to sound just like that. What brand should I buy? I have a 2006 Alti 2.5

Thanks for your help!

Sorry but your 2.5 will never sound like the g35/350z especially with an aftermarket exhaust. Your best bet is to do a complete SER dual exhaust conversion IMO but you still wont have a 3.5 and that plays a role in the exhaust note.

i always kind of wondered what makes the 350z/g35 sound like that. Totally different from our cars.

I'm pretty sure Nissan/Infiniti designed that exhaust system to specifically sound like that for the Z/G. Since you don't have the same engine those come with that is your biggest problem since the engine plays a big role in the exhaust note that those have. Here is a link to a sound and video clip for the 2.5 with a magnaflow cat-back.

They do sound great...

For sound:

Nice Healthy V8 > Z or G VQ35/37 > fly in my ear > 4 banger

Not too many V6's sound as good as the VQ.

OP: Sorry to sound overly sarcastic, but the one thing you will need to even begin your quest is a VQ35. Without it it cannot be done - as the motor is where the sound originates, not the exhaust.

The stillen is just an axle back or muffler only upgrade so that is why it is cheaper. I would go with magnaflow over stillen but if you are worried about cost I would just buy a muffler and resonator and have a shop make you a cat-back for less than what the stillen muffler cost.

It will never sound like a Z or G, but it's possible to make the QR NOT sound like ass.
