TRANSMISSION: 5MT (you'll see why I mention this later).
Okay, here's the deal. For quite some time I have lived with a SES light that said P0507 (basically my car is idling too high) and P0550 (power steering pressure sensor). Took care of the P0550 code.
I have tried the idle relearn procedure to get rid of the P0507 and the car idles nicely and drives nicely around town, going down to around 650-750RPM when I am off the gas. However, after turning the engine off and restarting, it jumps back up to being around 1,000RPM and the SES returns soon thereafter.
At any rate, I have noticed since this problem existed that when I lift my foot off the clutch to change gears, the car revs a bit more than normal. Although it bothered me, she still ran like a scalded dog when I wanted her to, so I pretty much ignored it.
However, lately I've purposely tried to stall the car and realized it is a bit harder than normal to stall the car in 1st or 2nd gear. As a matter of fact, this morning I parked on an incline (the one in my signature) and decided to put the car in 1st gear with my foot off the gas pedal. As I released the clutch the car would start climbing up the incline (pretty quickly too), as soon as I put my foot on the clutch it would start to roll backwards down the incline. Now I didn't expect the car to stall immediately, but I also don't expect it to race up the incline like I am giving gas.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this, do you think I need a new TB?
I know there is a procedure for the accelerator position learning, I could try that again, but I do believe that I have, but why not just one more time for good luck
