??

My point is I would of also. However there is no port/hole for it in the sfr. unless I swap the green(picture) hose back to the OEM setup, plug the blue into the other port of the oem setup and plug that one in the back of the sfr, obviously using a longer hose. That blue hose is the one going to the throttle body, but now it will go in the back of the sfr like I just said.

Am I correct in doing this?

I guess I am failing to recognize how that particular evaporator component works, especially how the 2 hoses work together. The sensor I'm sure just shows if its operating normally I assume.

yes. Leave the entire setup the way it was stock man. Just put the blue hose into the back of the SFR manifold. Leave the connector connected. It will reach to the back, and you dont need a longer hose. just move the entire sensor behind the manifold

Set it up just like that^ with the hose going to the tb, just move it to the back of tha manifold and you are done.

Thanks all you guys. Bombay it's not stupidity. All of us that install the manifold would run accross it. You helped to clear it up. Thanks for that. I've been following this closely myself.

Problem fixed. Just had to remove the bracket on the evap and snug it into the back along with the sensor wire. Thanks guys for your help and dex let me know if u have any issues I got it down pat. Took the whole IM off and on in almost an hour, wanted to look at my rear plugs. Hopefully headers be here tomorrow. Worried about install might actually pay someone for once to do it. Anybody know the all data hours for exhaust manifold removal and install..8 hrs? I know my wallet is in danger with this one.

do them yourself. It isnt that hard to do, the hardest part will be getting the flanges to fit over the studs, if you got ebay stuff. I had to modify my Cattmans too, cause they wouldnt fit over the studs. Spent more time doign that then anything else.

Do it yourself, dont spend extra money.

drill the holes bigger so they would fit. The flanges on that batch were wrong and didnt completely fit. was a total pita. And since i have a 5AT, i had to cut part fo the motor mount bracket to make them fit as well lol.

Hmm. Well I got a 6speed. Hopefully that batch was done properly. Really I was dreading getting the rear off, especially bc i dont have a lift to use so its gonna be real friggin tight, which i HATE being under there anyways. didn't even think the hard part would be putting it on. I Have a drill and an angle grinder, Thats it. my het shields are welded on to lol from my precats but i bet a punch and Hammer can take that out. Can't wait to see them Tomorrow.
You think it's possible to do in a day with my limited power tools lol?

With my car off the ground it took maybe and hour to take the stock ones off with basic hand tools. Pop the IM off again and you can get the rear one off easy. The bottom bolt on the middle pipe is the only pita that you may have to get from under the car. Since the EGR is off now that will help a lot with room. Mine are off and ready to go. Still need a new head first... Where is a good place to send heads to get port and polished???

Why the hell are your heat shields welded to the pre cats? You do t need to remove them first or anything. I took them off the manifolds after I got everything off the car. Unplug the O2 sensors too and just take then off with the manifolds to. It will be easier to take it all apart off the car.

The heat shields are welded to the manifolds bc when I did my precats I literally could not get them off so I just brought it to an exhaust shop and they just cut the nuts or bolts can't remember and then spot welded it at the hole to put it back on lol. Soo.. I'm thinking a punch and hammer, maybe a crow bar will do the job lol. Thanks for the advice. I actually never removed the egr fully either, was gonna do it when I did headers just leave it on so I don't have to mess with nut...but sht if I can't get that off in a decent time can't imagine getting the rest of that heat soaked crap off. Goo thing I got til sat til I got to work. Vacation is the best. Much needed

Ill prob try to do it myself, if all else fails I got triple a and a
Shop that loves to do work especially if u already removed a bunch of crap that they don't have to lol let u guys know...I got to say I fckin this site, used to have a Audi and the guys on that forum were smart morons lol, they could tell u a textbook answer out of their manual but common sense was nonexistent. Thanks guys for real.

Oh yea steeds I have a really good head shop...Dover cylinder head...I believe it's called. It's by me though, Jacksonville fl. I personally know they do awesome work, not on my car though I wish, but the dealers all send out their problems to them. I would def look around you tho cause shipping sucks but jut throwin it out there

Thanks. The only part I'm really dreading is getting the stuff off that I used for gaskets with the NWP spacers. I hear that stuff can be a pain to get off. I'll def let you know if I have any issues. Hopefully not though. Congrats on gettign it figured out and not giving up.
