Looks like they work with 2002-2006 engines, per specs. Probably expect 10-15 hp improvement, just a guess. Did you call this vendor or Nismo about hp gains?

^Honestly, I haven't ever seen anyone say this yet but the search function on this site isn't very useful. I mean it does its job but there are so many posts bs'ing about random stuff that it requires someone to spend a lot of time (too much imo) sorting through the 98% of useless threads on here about HID's and vidoes of LED door handles to find the shred of relevent info.

Granted, the keyword camshaft in this case would probably be effective.

Personally if I was an admin/moderator I'd have a seperate "useless" section for all the "what do you think" and "my new _____" threads. That would help things greatly. Technical discussion vs. bull*&%#ing. I know what forums are all about but I also know how to organize and this forum is obese.

VERY much agree!!! I will frequently reply to threads and add some random keyword in my reply. So if it is something that I think is noteworthy and I might end up searching for in the future or isn't a sticky when I think it should be, I can search for posts by ME with a relevant keyword. Its an easy way to keep track of stuff on here because there are LOTS of BS posts on here that you have to sift through when searching for something.

Just my way or keeping up with stuff on the forum.

Late,
Trav

This gets back to another issue. Reflash or replacement ECU. A better cam won't do much if the ECU kills the engine before it gets to the "sweet spot" of the cam. And if the ECU can't/won't supply enough fueling, or adjust the timing to match the altered needs of the engine, the cam might end up hurting performance, rather than helping. ECU changes must have been easier for the earlier engines- the 4th gen has been VERY slow in attracting good vendors. Nismo is one of the best for Nissan cars- would be nice if they would package some parts combos, like intake/exhaust/ECU, or intake/cam/ECU.

The 02-06 QR and 07+ QR have different internals, intake & exhaust manifold, etc....so no it won't work. If it was a direct drop in don't you think nismo would advertise it as 02-09 or 02+ altima 2.5? Also JWT makes the nismo camshafts for the QR, Nismo just jacks up the price.
