Instead of unsnapping the wiring harness, the wires were pulled out of the harness... and now there is no way to put the right wires in the right slot.

There is a small white harness in the door, and a narrow longer brown colored harness. The wires were pulled out of the brown harness.

I would be very much appreciative if you could share, or take a picture of the properly wired harness so I can get the wires back into the right place.

Defroster turning on AC but not turning it off when changing to different vent mode

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem and reported it to Nissan already (before I do so). The issue is with the defroster/AC operation. Here is a description.

Suppose you are using the HVAC system in manual mode, and have the AC off but are running the fan to blow through the upper vents for example. You then hit the Defroster button. The air will start blowing through the defroster vents and if it is above ~40 degC and the AC will come on. The AC coming on is normal - many/most? cars do this. However, the light on the AC button does NOT illuminate. The Owner's Manual says that it should. This is the first synptom of the problem, but the light itself is not a big deal. The next issue is more of a problem. You now press the defroster button again to turn off the defroster. The vents return to your previous setting (e.g., blowing from the upper vents) BUT THE AC STAYS ON. The AC button light is still off. The AC will stay on until you press the AC button twice (once turns it "on" even though the AC is already on although the AC light now illuminates, and the second press turns it off).

In addition to the defroster button causing this issue, the MODE button will cause it if you cycle through the modes and through the Defrost/Feet mode. This mode also turns the AC on (with no AC light), but when you leave this mode the AC stays on.

I brought this up with the dealer, but they say the system is working as designed because "All the other 2013 Altimas behave this way." Yeah, kind of like the heated seats, right? I do in fact agree that this is how all 2013 Altimas behave. I have a 2013 Altima loaner from the dealer and it behaves the same. So, nothing is "Broken" per se with my car. It's the design that is broken. I suspect some controller somewhere needs a software fix.

Anyone report this to Nissan by any chance? I'd be curious what they responded with.

F – 20 x 8.5 +30 offset, tires 245/35/20
R – 20 x 10 +38 offset, tires 275/30/20

Wheels and tire have been in storage since I took them off in October. Still in beautiful condition! I’m asking $1,100.00 for local pick up (preferred) L.A., SoCal. All out of area buyers will need to pay for shipping and I don’t think it’s cheap. I believe shipping is about $250 - $300. Please no low ball offers. I need the money, baby is on the way.

I'm sure most daydream a bit about what you'd do if you won. I would probably pay off my wife's car, pay off credit cards, and put the majority of it towards a new house, and try to keep about $50,000 in the bank.

How about you?

Hello everybody! My name is Zachary but I go by Chucky (trying to figure out how to change my forum name to chuckyuniza or baker1k). I just bought a 2012 Altima 2.5s Sedan Dark slate a month ago. I am fairly new to cars and trying to learn as much as possible to start doing mods. Although I am into sporty cars, I prefer luxury cars over sporty anytime so I have a lot to do to make mine feel luxury (I should have gotten the SL but i'm working on what I have now). I wanted the coupe but Sedan will prepare me for when I finish school and start a family :) Nursing student!

So far I have done the easy/cheap ones like:
-Tint 25% front (driver and passanger) and 17% back
-Installed factory-look Rosen Navigation w/ BT (this wasn't cheap but was not too expensive either)
-Complete LED light swap + Reverse light
-Aluminum plated Altima door sills.
-Altima trunk net (don't know if this is considered a mod but it is really helpful!)

upcoming mods:
-2010-2012 OEM Fog light kit w/ factory stalk switch (just ordered the parts. should be coming in soon)
-Steering wheel mounted audio controls (just ordered the parts. should be coming in soon)
-Leather wrapped steering wheel (just ordered the parts. should be coming in soon)
-Rosen back-up reverse camera (just ordered the parts. should be coming in soon)
-Rosen back-up sensors (just ordered the parts. should be coming in soon)
-Leather wrapped shift knob
-3.5 side mirrors w/ turn signals
-Driver and passenger vanity mirrors w/ vanity light
-replacing my factory 16" with 17" or 18" Alloy wheels (still looking around). prefer g35,g37, Altima etc.
-lower my car an inch or two because I heard upgrading to bigger wheels will make my car look raised
-Front windshield tinted to 75% (wasn't able to do it before because of the registration sticker)
-Still thinking to get the Nismo Aero kit (rear corners & sides)
-Vinyl wrap my tail lights red excluding the circular reverse light (or smoked) not sure what looks better
-Clazzio leather seat covers (still debating. I dislike my cloth seats)
-Retrofit my headlights with Projectors (I want HID's but I don't want to blind people) still learning.
