basically it looks like the MAF will be reading the air around the inner tube, but the air inside the inner tupe will not be registered, so more air will be in the cylinders than what the computer is reading which will lean it out, causing more power.

It's all BS. Their theories are completely invalid.

Take a 3 inch pvc pipe. Blow through it. Put a 1.5 inch pipe of the same lenght inside of the 3 inch pipe. Blow through.

There is no way the second setup will output 3 times more air pressure. If anything, the smaller pipe inhibits airflow a small amout. Logically, it's complete BS.

The "tornado" advertisers said the same thing, that the spiral will create a vaccum that will suck MORE air once air starts flowing through it.

"Common sense is not so common" Voltaire.

the velocity stack should be in the FILTER, not the metal tube
the pic of the tube doesn't show a velocity stack..in fact the little pegs that stick into the tube should hurt flow..but prolly won't matter too much since it's on the intake side of the motor and it's only an NA vehicle

Here is my 2 cents....The only reason why you might "feel" more is your brain or because u are railing out your car because u like the way it sounds. Even if you are getting another 3-7 HP at the wheels u won't feel it. The basic bolt ons I.E. I/H/E will give u better sound and thats about it. Maybe a few extra horses and MPG. If you want real power force induction and build up your engine components. I know you all think you can feel it but u cant. I plan on getting one for the growl. Dont get me wrong they sound sick, but i dont have delusions of getting a mid 13s car out of an intake.

thats called getting used to your car. On my old 1st gen, I had nitrous and EVERY bolt on possible and after awhile, even when the nitrous hit, the acceleration wasnt anything that spectacular to me. in the beginning, I was so nitrous happy off the feeling of how fast the car would take off, I felt not much could take me out...Till I raced a car that didnt need mods to spank my ass (audi S4) I know for a fact that my 4th gen as is, would take out my old 1st gen with spray.

But driving my 4th gen daily it is starting to feel slow to me. Even though I know I can take out quite a few of the top end cars on the road in a street race, it doesnt have that jolt like feel anymore. So I keep upgrading parts. Since I pretty much only drive the G on weekends, when I do drive it, it feels much faster than I remember it being when I used to drive it every day. I switch up from time to time so I dont get TOO used to how either car drives. When I went to FL for a week and had a 3.5 Magnum for a Rental, I couldnt wait to drive either of my cars again. I missed the TQ and overall power that the G and Alty have that I took for granted until I drove a car with the same size motor, but took FOREVER to get up to speed.

man, that 6cyl seems to move... my 2.5 doesn't get up to 80 nearly as fast... makes me kind of regret going with the 4cyl.

Who cares about what I'm feeling my car when it was stock never used to hang so long with TCS flashing on a 1-2 redline shift, now if I even think about doing that I've gotta have TCS off or else I'll look like an idiot and look stupid, I forgot to do this one night while trying to pass over a slowpoke and almost didn't make the pass.
