removal of tail lights

i know there is the nico link floating arounf but here is one for this site. for those who wanted a detailed picture step by step of the process, here you go.

first take a flat head driver and pry off the top part of the plug pictured below. them do the same for the larger half (requires more force)

it should look like so after that is removed (see below)

next, lift up the rubber seal on the liner then run your finger along the liner until it is not pressed against the truck.

then peal back the liner and pop it out in a fashion that it stays out of your way while you work.

afterwards, locate the two white caps on top of two silver screws. pop those off away from the light... the smaller one on the left light took more force than i would have though but it did eventually come off.

you will see the screws have a nut/washer on them. take a wrench and remove them. be careful not to drop them because they would be a PITA to get back.

then, what i did to get the lights out, was i pushed the two silver screws in the direction away from the car. once those were mostly out, i was able to pull the lights out and turn them over in a way they will not slip off the car as the wires will be pulled out causing all kinds of trouble...

there you go guys. nissanclub's very own taillight removal thread.

yup, as you said NICO has it, but this should go in the FAQ, I'm sure the mods will add it, nice how-to.
