That looks amazing, also very nice writeup, I don't have the technical skill right now to do that kind of mod however I will look into it in the future..I may get my HID's today though..I was surprised to see how inexpensive they are.

First off, for any of you living in CT, I actually asked the DMV if they have any beef with this and the only thing they replied back with is that it can't be bought as an under body kit. I'll assume that means that the DMV are fine with this, but I can't guarantee that the local police won't get curious and still pull you over.
I have two questions. For the installation, how did you run the wires from the LED strips along the bumper and into the engine bay? Would it be too much to ask to get a close-up picture? I want to try and minimize the exposure of the wires.
And how did you do the overlays to them? As you probably can tell, I'm completely new to modding my car.
Hi there, no these LED strips will come in a home-style type of adapter connecctor, therefore you will have to cut the wire and extend them w/ ur own wires, either 18 or 20 gauge. I soldered them and heat shrink wrapped them. The black wire is +, black wire w/ white stripe is the ground.
If you want to hook it up to the foglights, it can be done easily, even easier than my mod, since all you have to do is T-tap the + (black wire) to the foglight + (you will have to find out by using voltmeter which one is +), then just ground the black wire w/ white stripe, then TADA! these will light up whenever you turn on the fogs.
The reason why I chose a switch is because of stupid a$$ cops here in cali, if i happen to spot a cop b4 he/she sees me, I will turn these off for sure. I will take some daytime photos and post them.
hey bud can you plz tell me where is the foglight wire is located that im suppose to t-tap the wire from the LED too?

Very nice. You guys want this thread added to the FAQ Forum?
The only reason I'd say no is because some people are still discussing it, although I think all of the questions have been answered. I vote yes, but let's get a few other votes first.

Hey there, I didnt tap my LEDs into my fogs so I can' tell you. But it should be pretty easy to tap. Take a voltmeter and stick it to the wires coming off the foglights (one should be +, the other ground) and ask a friend to turn on ur fog lights, if the voltmeter shows voltage when the fog was turned on, you've got the + wire and go ahead and tap that one. If you stick the ground wire, there should be no reading from the voltmeter.
had a buddy install mine over the weekend, they look great! however i do have a few questions/concerns....
i bought the thin LED strips as talked about on this thread...but are they all supposed to light up or just the first one? because for mine, only the first one in each set lights up...i circled it in this picture as an example...
my other concern is, on the one side there are like 3 or 4 in the middle that dont shine as bright? i was wondering if it was maybe a bad strip sent by the company or if the kid that installed them messed it up somehow?
I want my LEDs to turn on with the car, so I'm looking for something that gets power when the car electricity is on. I've read that the fuel pump should work, but I'm having a hard time finding it. Could someone give me a general idea where it is?
Besides the fuel pump, would there be anything else in the front of the engine that only turns on when the car turns on that I could tap into?
