I can't locate this anywhere else J. My issue right now is; I'm using a 3/8's vacuum source off of the TB for my intake manifold. I'm thinking of what I can do with it. Plug it? I don't need an alternative vacuum source that size.

Manual Boost Controller (MBC)

This section details how I went about installing the Hallman PRO Manual Boost Controller (Hallman Boost Controllers) or HBC, as they call it. This MBC kit is nicely packaged and contains everything you will need for the install. It should take you anywhere from 15-45 minutes to completely install it.

While the install is quite simple you should still go ahead and read the installation instructions so you can familiarize yourself with it -
http://www.hallmanboostcontroller.co...tions%20ld.pdf. And if you feel like reading more of its design then check out Hallman's patent - HBC Patent.

The spot I chose for the install was on the thermostat housing.

There's a coolant air bleed screw to the side of the HBC on the thermostat housing. So be extra cautious that you don't get hot coolant spraying onto the HBC.

The following picture shows where the hoses are connected to. The boost line can come directly off the compressor housing, the IC duct, or the intake manifold. I elected to keep it the closest possible to the compressor housing...

...and used the port coming off the compressor outlet adapter.

The wastegate line feeds to the wastegate actuator port. It is very important that you do not connect the HBC backwards since each port fitting is set by functional design. The HBC wastegate fitting actually has a very tiny hole in it and the boost fitting works against a ball-bearing/spring system internal to the HBC.

For the initial setting its very important that you set the HBC knob to the fully counter-clockwise position. This is similar to running a straight hose from the compressor housing to the actuator port, similar to a stock setup. I intend to keep this initial setting in place until I have worked out the "bugs" with the engine running correctly. And then when I'm ready to increase boost I'll do so a tiny step at a time. I don't want to get boost happy without making sure that my tune is tight.
