Tial wastegate

Did you guys hookup both vaccum ports to your vaccum lines or ebc?

I hooked up the ebc line but I didn't do a vaccum return and because of the log manifold, theres no room for me to squeeze the fitting in. The gap between the wastegate and the block is too tight...

Now I gota tear down most of my exhaust side in order to get to the wg...

bah humbug.

i think you can. when you remove the bolts to replace the wg spring, im pretty sure you can put it back on in any direction you want.

I'm talking about clocking the bottom portion of the WG though, not the top cap.
I can easily access the vacuum port on the top of the cap, its the one on the side of the WG that i'm trying to get to.

Can you guys confirm?
Thanks.

EDIT: Ok so I see what you are saying Anton. I have to pull off the cap, take out the spring. Now... How do I remove the diaphram without ripping it? Does it just slide out to reveal the nut underneath? or is the entire unit threaded and I can turn/spin it off?

I got my new tial from some shop and if was set perfictly right i know its kind of close to the block but its working fine! Anywhay good luck Billy!

no big problem. I just don't want to tear the diaphram. I'll get on it.

edit: I will always inform myself fully before working on my car. It helps me work properly, or in this case, correct something that I forgot.

I got the cap & spring off. I'm not sure how to remove the diaphram. Simply tugging on it won't release it so I'm going to play it safe and call Tial tomorrow.

-Take the actuator bolts out with the top being held down by a press
-Ease the press and take the top off/spring out
-There are 4 set screws in the top of the spring cup that need to be removed
with a small allen wrench
-move the diaphragm up, so it's not touching the bottom cup
-shake the gate up and down so the valve falls out the bottom
-undo the set screw that holds the lock nut in place
-remove the nut
-position the hole where you want it
-re-locktite blue the nut and install to 500in/lbs
-re-locktite blue the set screw and install
-reinstall everything - the 4 set screws also need blue locktite
