NissanClub's Official RB series swap thread!A little progress on my Chuki RB Project

EDITED BY ACE:

With the recent surge in RB related questions, I decided to make this thread the official RB series swap thread. While Nismo l2acer is swapping in a 2.0 variant of the RB series of engines, most of the questions and fitment will remain the same. Please post or ask any RB related questions here, and hopefully we can turn this into a large informational resource for RB seekers!

Before you read any more, I suggest everyone to look at both Part 1:http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/mem...n-rb20det.html

and Part 2:
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/mem...t-part-ii.html

before asking any questions!

Again, this is for all RB related questions!

Thanks - Moderator

About a couple months back I was in need of a intake manifold because no way was I using my stock one. Not that its a bad design or anything, I just didn't like the way it was setup; over cross piping. So I asked ISL33P to make me one! IMO think its worth every penny when I got it. Took about 2 months but damn is the wait worth it. I ended up paying $780 total shipped and polished. A couple hundred $$ more and its totally quality. Overall I am pleased as you can tell. Anyways enough of me talking, PICS PICS PICS!!

Love the intiative you're taking! Looks to be a very nice manifold, especially with the included venturi stacks!

Keep the board updated with the pgoress! I'm actually going to stick the thread, and make it our sections 'official rb series swap' thread!

As for my progress I haven't touched my car since September. I just lost motivation I guess.I wont start until late Jan or early Feb. But anyways I'll start working on it again. I'll try my very best to finish it before spring and attend some meets with you guys. I would love to meet Ace

Anyways a friend of mine told me that a maxima throttle body would work for me so I asked a buddy of mine to get me one. He came over and guess what... Perfect fit!! Only issue I might have now is wiring for the TPS. Should be fun.

Also piping should be fun too. But nothing a 45* angle coupler can't fix, right?

Anyways it feels like forever since I updated you guys. Some probably lost interest cause its taking to damn long and I understand. As spring is here and summer is underway I've actually started putting most my time into my car. Some pics I'll show u may not be different for the top of the page but it has been modified for the better part. Here are some quickies I took just now.

If you are tuning in now this is the time to keep your eye out for this thread. In the next couple of weeks (Hopefully 2 - 3 at the most) I will doing some major work and try asap to start her up. First chance I get I'll film it and show you guys first hand. It'll def. be something worth watching.

And the pics them selfs.....

Took this pic this morning. Intercooler / Hood was installed previous day.

Piping was installed previous day.

Better pic of the FMIC. I need to redo the power steering line as the RBs is on the right side.

Another shot of the intercooler with hood open.

No my intercooler is not dis aligned. Just the angle.

You can kinda see my new way of the radiator hose. Next pic should be better.

I needa figure out a way to instally my flexalite fan between there. I dont think thats ganna happen. Since I have no AC I think I'll put it between the radiator and intercooler and use it as a puller instead of a pusher. Think it'll work well?

Well thats it for now. I'll have more pics every time I touch my car and let you know with updates and pics.

Still things to do:
- Need new powersteering pump and redo line
- Reattach fuel lines
- Finish off IC piping with installed BOV
- Finish up attaching plugs / hoses
- Fill her up with fluids
- Install new Slim Battery
- Install magnaflow
- Crank her up!!!!

I mighta missed a couple of things but off the top of my head thats all that needs to be finished up.
