better conductor?

for ring terminals, which would be better conductor? gold plated? platinum plated?

platinum is abtter conductor than gold, tbu what are they going to be used for?

most likely platinum is over kill

According to this link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_resistivity, gold has less resistance than platinum, and therefore it is a better electrical conductor.

The benefits of electroplating has more to do with the anti-oxidation property and aestetics than conductivity. Unless, of course, it is used on extremely high frequencies where "skin effects" is a consideration.

gonna be using them for battery terminals... solid brass 24k gold plated 4 gauge thruput

hmm i geuss youre right... i dont know why i thought plat. was... who knows.... but still i really dont think it matters for battery terminals.. its a cosmetic thing

platinum isn't a good conductor.

anything will do.

gold isn't really used for its conductivity, but because its rather chemically inert.

Steel, lead, copper, brass, and gold plated will work fine. Your not gonna be running that much juice that you would need be concerned with conductivity. Just don't use aluminum.
