Angry Can't find the right signal bulbs for SE tails! Where to get them?

It's almost time to take my car to inspection so I gotta make sure all my lights are working and legal. Well my car came with the SE tail lights but the turn signal bulbs were clear, not amber, which is illegal in NJ. It has to be amber or red. So I take the bulb out and see that it's a 3156 (which is correct according to sylvania.com). I went to Pepboys, Advance, and R&S Strauss and I could not find this damn bulb in amber. They were all clear. I ended up getting 3157 in amber which is the wrong one to use because it is designed to be a turn signal and parking bulb since it has dual filaments. But it works as a turn signal in my car without blinking fast. So where the hell do you guys with 99 SE's get your replacement rear turn signal bulbs? The Dealer?

I bought my amber bulbs at AutoZone a couple of weeks ago. You can also check at wal-mart for some good quality white trash bulbs .

Just ask for 3156A... I don't see why it'd be hard to find.

I get my bulbs from AutoZone and replace them with Silverstar bulbs if a replacement exists.

Would be logical if it wasn't 3 different stores!

And I have nothing against the Wal-mart bulbs. Shit, they're cheap and they work.

I'm with you on this one. I have been looking for an amber 3156 bulbs everywhere and no one seem to stock them Just the clear ones or hyperwhite which I do not want.

So you are saying that 3157 bulbs work fine? If that is the case, I'm gonna buy a pair of those in amber. I don't want red as it wil make the light look pinkish through the SE-L.

Yeah, the amber 3157's longer life version. I was skeptical in gettin them because I thought they would make the lights blink fast, but they still blink normal.

As for the red bulbs, I have them in my Elantra turn sigs and they are red, not pink. They look just like the tail lights. No BS! I think it depends on where you get them from. I didn't get the crappy Pep Boys APC ones. I went to this little speed shop and got them. And don't get the silver coated bulbs that are labeled red because they shine orange.
