weird noise when turning steering wheel

i've had problems with a "hum" coming from the steering pump, but that got fixed, and now something makes a creaking noise when i turn the steering wheel almost all the way to either direction...anybody have any ideas? thanks

While moving forward or in park?

I get an odd ticking noise if i turn to the extreme left/right when not moving, P or D. Doesn't happen after a slow roll or faster. Doesn't do it in reverse.

something is touching together if you on the move and sitting then dont know...

it makes a cracking noise when i turn it all the way when im sitting....but when i'm moving then it makes like a rubbing noise, but only when i turn it all the way

cv joint is bad..look and see if the cv boot is split; you gonna have to replace the drive axle.

it's been making a knocking sound when turning but this time it's a weird sound that kinda sounds wood cracking...it does have almost 148k miles
