I am planning of getting the DEPO headlights and turn signal light. But, are there any DEPO fog lights available for the 1st Gen? How does it look? I really like the look of the OEM fog lights but was wondering if there is anything of better quality and higher output. I couldn't locate anything on the DEPO so far. TIA.
I just bought aftermarket fogs. They are projector lense with h3 bulbs...and they are yellow with my blue headlights looks sweet. IS300 look. If the bulbs aren't high enough output for you then you can just upgrade the h3 bulb...to HID if you relaly want
Ive been looking also for a long time and cant find any company that makes them. I bought aftermarket ones that are exact matches to ours made by TYC and put them in with h3 HID's the light output is sick....let me know if you want me to take pics to show you how they look you might like it.

I had also replaced my original one with a set of TYC and SilverStar bulbs. The light output was better that original but not the greatest. Now one of the glass is shattered and the other has too many dings. I could order another set of TYC and would contemplate on the H3 HID you are talking about. Yes, get us some pictures. That might be a better option. Thanks.
Hey J here you go Im not great with a camera but these should give you an idea of the what output is with HID's......this is a 6500K kit and keep in mind the car is facing on a downward angle in the driveway.
HID kits are usually measured in comparison to natural white light from the sun in Kelvin degrees. Natural sunlight at noon is 4870 degrees K. Light produced by a HID xenon bulb is 4100 degrees K. Light from a standard halogen bulb is 3200 degrees K, and from an ordinary incandescent bulb is 2800 degrees K. The lower the temperature rating, the more yellowish the light appears. The more you increase in kelvin degrees the more intense the light and color. So we dont get confused ,for correct fitment/replacement of the kits they usually carry the same bulb code hence why the foglight kit on on a 1st gen is an H3 type bulb.
Thanks altim8victory. I'm going to have to get a HID kit for the fog lights. Those look too sweet. I've heard (read) there are shields available for locating the light beam towards the ground. Have you heard of this for fog lights?
BoostRevolution: What manufacturer of fog lights are you talking about? How much?
EDIT: My DEPO headlights and turn signal lights are on their way, Thanks Xtremelights.

Well the aftermarket and even the stock fogs have that shield built into them to keep the light back towards the mirrored reflector in the light housing. Ive heard of the shields as well but there usually used on larger metal hallide light housings (Street/parking lot lamps), and also for DIY conference room projectors and to get one that fits correctly maybe a little hard to find plus you would have to bake the fog to open it up too much work IMO...Why not just adjust the angle of fog housing itself?
I bought the fog lenses, brackets, everything (but the wiring harness which isn't available anymore) for my '93 GXE to wire up last year but the brackets wouldn't line up w/the predrilled bumper support holes so I threw everything in the garage for the last 6-8months...
Maybe I'll try it again this year if I keep the Altima....the fog lenses are only around $20 each new...
Got the DEPO lights in but haven't gotten around to installing them yet. They do indeed look sweet and of great quality. They don't have the bubble levels in them like the OEM but that is no big deal. Looking good...
Finally got the DEPO headlight and turn signals installed. I swapped in the 9003ST SilverStars from my old setup. These babies do look sweet and light up the road much better than my older headlamps. They still need to be aligned properly but so far I am very satisified with them. I had to remove the front grille and battery to make it easier on the install.
The foglights are in poor shape but will have to wait on getting them replaced sometime later.
Any other sites to buy Depo fog lights from for a 2nd gen? And would it really matter if you got the "economy line" vs the "various manufacturer" line at rock auto?? I mean that is $30 cheaper total so would the fitment be affected much?
