P.S. regular oil has detergents and solvents too, however it will take much longer than with MMO to dissolve the sludge.

I switched to Mobil 1 at 60K on my old 1999 Altima,no problems running up until I sold her at 165K+.(Brand new Altima, I used dino oil till 60K change)

I bought my Sentra at 77K and switched to Mobil 1 the first oil change and no leaks, now at 156K+.(previous owner used dino)

I bought my G20 at 52K and switched to Mobil 1 first oil change, now at 64K with no leaks.(previous owner used dino)

Get my point?

If you get a leak after switching,it probably means that there was a problem to begin with a POSSIBLY the switch accelerated the problem.I will never use DINO again in any vehicle I own.

It's different when petroleum engineers design special blends...they know what they are doing. If we mix oils (even a little bit), depending on what they contain, an adverse reaction may occur. I guess you could say its like using the wrong blood type...why take a chance?
