Average is probably 17 seconds for automatics and low 16's for manuals.

0-60 is about 10 seconds in A/T or 9.6 so you figure most average cars clock at around 80mph at the 1/4 or some where's close, so add another 4-6 seconds on there.

well I ran a 15.8 with just a intake in my 98 5 speed, but it had a fresh motor from 2001 and I gutted the a/c, spare tire.

I doubt automatics get 0-60 in 10 seconds, I would say around 8 seconds at least in my experience.

The 1st gen autos run usually a 17.2 and the manuals run anywhere from a 16.1 to a 16.4

Yup. and just remember. we can still do better burn outs than newer cars... haha. I went to rockfalls speedway two years ago and I watched this kid in a brand new colbalt try to do a burnout. just fell flat on its face. was so funny. I wish i would have been the eclipse right next to him just rollin the tires off making him look even more stupid for tryin it!
