Well, there is a search engine. learning to use it will save you time.
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/gen...a-tune-up.html
The best way to do a tune up is goto autozone and say, I need a tune up. WE CAN'T do everything involved in a tune up that they offer. but most of it can we wihtout taking the entire engine apart. :-D

I personally bought the autozone plus that I can take back at anytime to switch out. :-D
The cap doesn't make a different
switching to Synthetic on the oil is a good thing. but you will have to change all your seals. I personally change my oil EVERY 3-4k miles. meaning, no oil problems in my car. lol
doing the break fluid IS A WASTE OF TIME unless you're changing your breaks. DON'T FORGET TO FLUSH THE BACK BREAKS TOO! lol. **hell, didn't even know I had them until last week. haha**
The type of spark plugs and if you should gap them at a certain size or to buy the ones that you don't gap like the plus4 has always been argued about here. I personally don't know what's best on that one. I use the Plus4.
The transmission fluid, sure you can change it out. but you might end up killing it if you don't put the right stuff in it. I also don't know what's best on the transmission. I use Synthetic and have noticed that it shifts harder than before. so idk what to do about that issue. hmm what else. lol

good luck. remember, DOING YOU OWN car work can save you thousands. #1 you're learning a new skill, #2 you're saving money. but do it right the first time or you brick your car.

Go for NGK G-Power platinum plugs and new spark plug wires. That made a difference for my 98 Altima. I don't find a lot of difference in engine power, but the transmission stays in higher gears more often than before.

Replacing the oxygen sensor is a good idea to get better fuel mileage. You don't need to replace the rear one. Rent a o2 sensor socket tool from Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts and replace the front one. You might need an socket extension.

yea i used NGK Iridium IX plugs and the NGK wires i also did an engine flush with Seafoam and switched to full synthetic oil (castrol) the autozone or Discount Auto Parts brand of rotor and cap will be good enuff to run on ur car. also while ur doing all this check ur valve cover gasket and the grommets they may need to be replaced. the KA24 has a tendency to leak oil into the chamber where the spark plugs are so check that.

1.)A new cap will make a difference
2.)You will NOT need to change ALL of your seals if you switch to synthetic oil
3.)Replacing brake fluid is NOT a waste of time, it keeps the moisture out of your lines - which keeps them from rotting inside->out, which keeps you alive.
4.)Bosch +4s are all marketing hype and are junk, go NGK
5.)Changing trans fluid will not ruin your tranny, (there are a few cases of debris braking loose internally). Just use DEXIII.

Yeah Bosch sucks, NGK is the only way to go.
