Knocking noise under the car...

Lately I started hearing some kind of knocking noise under the car when I turn my steering wheel hard either way, more on slow speed like Parking or getting out of a parking spot. It all started after I got both my front CV shafts replaced at a local mechanic shop. I don't know if this noise has anything to do with CV shafts or not. Perhaps its just a coincidence..I read somewhere that u just need to grease the steering column..am little confused here.
Pls help me out here...

if the noise was something like ticking on slow speeds during the turn, this is really CV shaft

i have same problem, i think it might be cuz a retard at my cousins shop did it while i was doing a oil change on another car OR it could be an elbow on my exhaust since it comes close to the heat shield. either way its annoying and prevents me from romping the gas lol cuz im afriad something is happening

My car did this and it sounded a little weird. Not a knocking noise but turned out I had a heat shield that had come loose. Check your exhaust Bang your muffler and see if it makes a noise.

Unless they were installed incorrectly, it wouldn't be the cv shafts becuase he just replaced them.

Is the noise coming from the front or back? and is it a steady knocking or does it only happen at a certain rpm range? is it a high-pitched knock/ticking/clattering or low-pitched?

Also if you just took it into the shop to have it fixed like yesterday, i'd recommend taking it back to the shop and recreating the problem to them and tell them it started happening right after you got the car back, tell them to fix it for free becuase they created the problem obviously.

Whether they're new or not, it sounds like the outer CV joint on one of the sides.
