Yeah I can't wait to see the final product too, I don't really know what to expect cause I never saw a car do this. I too need to relocate the battery, it'll make it easier later on when I do the IC piping.
I want to have someone weld all the seams in the front of the car while I have the engine and everything else out, but i don't know if I can make that happen right now.

Got a grand, a plane ticket and a room for me to sleep in? Mmmmm, seam welding...
You have no idea how bad I just want to keep removing panels and doors and subframes to just have the frame on a rotessirie to have ALL the seams welded. It's just so unpractical right now and I'm getting waaaay too ahead of myself. Thats the type of shit I'll do when I actually own another car to daily drive. Hopefully my sister buys another car at some point soon so I can have her POS neon to cruise around in while I build the piss out of the altima.
One easy thing is to remove the cruise control. I actually did that because I never use it. Theres not much else you can do but remove the egr system, polish the intake manifold, get top feed infectors with a nice fuel rail. Thats about what i'm planning in the long run. Or maybe a nice crazy sheet metal intake. I donno yet....
What is seam welding? Before and after pics, or a link will help.
Look at the picture where you can see underneath my fender. See how the frame of the car is just flat stamped panels of steel all pieced together to make a shape? Where they are attached is where you see the seams. From the factory, they are just spot welded together in a few places. Not the best for trying to have a stiff chassis. So you weld the seams together completely all the way along the edge to help stiffen the chassis.
