If anything I would paint it silver to contrast it against the gloss black engine bay
I way too worried about paint on the engine block just chipping away after a few months. I really don't want to have chipping off paint in my engine bay after I've done all this work. Now if I could afford to get it powdercoated.....
but see thats what I'm saying, when I build a new motor I'll get the block powdercoated, so for this motor I just don't want to have to deal with potential peeling paint.
Hahaha. It's not easy lol. I take way too much care of it tho, I care too much lol. She's just getting better too haha. But shit man, I'm jealous of you man, you and your new damn 5 speed Alty lol.
lol man.. i just need a sexy look to back it up... im still jealous tho lol.

So not much got done to the car last weekend, removed a few things here and there...no biggie.
I am now pretty much ready to start wiring. You guys have absolutely no idea the sheer insanity that is to come. I'm doing the stuff I've mentioned so far and then some, but I gotta keep some secrets for surprises. Trust me, when I'm done you are all seriously going to question my mental stability...no lie.
Anyhoo, 2 teaser pics for you guys. I'll be updating regulalry over the next week until it's finished.
My almost entirely stripped engine bay:
And the wire harness:

wow looks like it going great so far. thats awesome i wish i could have the time and the place to do that to my car. good luck man and i hope to see it when its all done. too bad i dont know anyone that has something like that here in the west coast.
^i'll sell them to you when i'm done with them, i'll probably end up getting them rebuilt within the next year (I just bought them over the summer but I'm obsessive about suspension) then after that probably go into some sort of custom coilover setup so I can actually get a decent quality coilover setup on my car.
there is too much stuff going on in what your doing its giving me a headache..
wow, this coming from someone who just did a tranny swap. i gotta tell you man, your just making it seem like an EASY project. but, i understand what your saying. Allblackedout, i don't know what the hell is going on, but good luck
Nah I haven't sprayed the bay yet, I need a few more days of prep work plus hopefully one decent warm day.
The fuse boxes are actually going in the trunk. This will keep them protected from the elements and also make them easily accesable. The washer fluid resovoir is also going in the trunk so that I can relocate the coolant resevoir to the wheel well. The intake manifold is also being stripped to clean it up a lot. I don't need no stinkin' egr system. Pics to come later today!
