DIY spoiler on gxe

My first time makin a diy, so correct me if im wrong, if u have questions feel free to ask..
Materials
-spoiler
-wire-any gauge wiring
-smirnoff
-drill
-drill bit
-music

MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE THE RIGHT DRILL BIT TO CUT THRU METAL
gET SOMETHING WITH A POINTY EDGE SO U CAN MAKE A BUMP SO THAT WHEN YOUR DRILLING IT DOESNT GO ALL OVER TH EPLACE AND STAYS IN ONE SPOT
BEFOREEEEEE

dURINGGG



use a sharpie

had to cut a bit more cudnt get the socket in the hole( thas what she saidd)

wiring-connect it to the brake light or if u have a third brake light
splice open both wires and join duhhhh
green/yellow-POWER WIRE(use)
BLack-Groungd wire(use)
Black/red wire- parking lights (do not use)

be sure when u gett the spoler get the harness also (none of the models come with it)..i cut mines off the donor car

Now get rid of the 3rd brake light. It looks terrible with the LED in the spoiler. Or t least just disconnect it for now.

ill prolly disconnect it, cuz you cant see it with the tint anyways..if i take it out itll look nasty i with holes n shit

Did you silicone around the edges of the spoiler to make sure water won't leak underneath and get into you trunk and/or rust out our trunk lid?

What did you use to make the marks to know where to drill? You know how you placed the spoiler on the trunk, how did you know where the hole was to bolt it down basically.

got a sharpie....got some tape and started taping until it filled the hole and made a mark by inserting it straightso that it hit the middle of the hole

I would suggest some washers or some sort maybe lock washers to keep the nuts from backing off with road vibrations. All in all it looks great!!

+1 on the lock washers. It looks good but idk where your from man but smirnoff? Where I am from its strictly jd or beer when working on a car lol good job.

hah didnt feel like makin the drive, so i had w/e was chillin in trunk..grey goose or smirnoff, i wanted to do it sober..loll plus it tastes good as ****

GOOD call lol.... i actually have sum very thin weather stripping under the wing to prevent as much viberation as possible lol.. wen i get a couple hours, im going to deffinetly silicone around it.. i have about a mm or soo gap

How do u mark those holes? mark it and drew from the bottom or ? also do u just cut off those wire and put it together?
