All you 1st and 2nd gen turbo altimas!

Just curious.....how many of you boosted kAs have daily drivn your car at least 5 days a week for more than 2 years or 30,000 miles? If you have how what's your mileage-and.give some details.about why it has lasted, and what parts you feel contributed...actually even if you havent lasted or daily driven, im curious as to what made your set up more or less reliable in your opinion, ie tuning, emssystems, piping, couplers, turbos etc. details are much appreciated, im just trying to stay ahead of any potential problems thanks in advance!

not boosted yet, but interested in knowing as well. from what i gathered, off of this site.

cooling, boost control and tuning are key factors.

what have you done for your cooling system 2000TurboAlty?

edit: selecting the proper turbo size is very important.

Stanza I totally agree hopefully he'll chime in, jae so far ive picked a larger turbo for a stock block 58mm inducer-t3t4 so that I can get power and keep the boost down and I have two fans cooling w/ignition, I wanna turn it up soon and.am curious as to what I should do first-is water meth a good option or would it be better to.reinforce and put in arp head studs and a cometic gasket- I dont want to rebuild this block btw im trying to.find.one already built...good idea?bad idea? What size turbo are u lookin at jae?sometimes i.wonder what a t28 would've been.like

i havent done much looking into what exactly i will be getting, except that it will be a t3/t4 with a .5something on the cool side most likely. thats all i got for now. i did some reading a while back, but forgot most of it. i need a refresher. i want something that will put out 250-300hp easy. with the stock block, if i boost it, i'll keep it around 260 to the wheel(s).

once i figure out how to get a spec v 6spd in, with its lsd, i'll build a block and go for 300-400hp

big dreams!

for cooling, i'll be running 2 mishimoto 12" slim fans, a Fluidyne aluminum radiator, nismo stat & Redline Water Wetter with just water. maybe an oil cooler too.

Do standalone when you rip out the engine and the rest of the redundant car components. Wiring and re-wiring the harness is a b*tch
