I know in the Southeast they have gas stations called "RaceTrac". They are always $0.15 to $0.20 less than all other gas stations. how is this possible, is their gas screwy...is it safe to use? I know all gas has to meet inspection standards, but how can they be sooooo cheap?

Should be fine, there are always the watered down rumors though... Considering alot of the smaller places (besides racetrack) use the same gas as the larger ones, sometimes out of the same gas tanker///No way to know for sure, believe or dont believe the rumors....

no.... chevron is the best gas you can put in... i alwayz go like 50 more miles per tank with chevron... well... i put in supreme in my alty... it deserves it...
i personally try to stay away from race trac gas. only one time did i put some in and thats when my gas was getting shitty milage, and i also noticed a little bit of fluid coming out of my exhaust. and its only 92 octane vs. the regular 93.

I would not use RaceTrac gas. My mother has a 94 auto that drives like crap and constantly has a check engine light that flashes.
For my car, I have use QuikTrip (QT) with no problems and saved 5-10 cents per gallon with no loss of performance.
anyways... my car doesn't like Chevron. i had horrible mileage with it, not to mention the car at redlights and general idles would shudder and want to stall. Didn't do that before I switched to Chevron and didn't do it after i stopped using it. I tried Chevron for a month and the entire month it did it.
VIctor don't u live in the tampa area? you know moble has some of the cheapest gas i've seen in tampa and i haven't noticed any problems w/ it yet. anothre one i like is amoco. but you are right i heard that the chevron has the techron and i hear that shit leaves deposites in your engine.
mobil sucks i average 50 miles less if i use it, i go to the stop and shop gas station...good prices and my car runs great on it, or i go to some small place that pumps it for you, and i run pretty good on that too....mayby its just up here in NE but my dads car, my car, and my moms car all run like shit on mobil, even when i filled up in NH at a mobil my car ran like shit
