Well ... I thought i best to answer you .. but not in the thread ... it was pretty much ruined by the time i got to reading everything .

First ... I do not take to WTF to well (well any type of swearing)... So when you came out with WTF did i use a turbonetics wastegate .... Let's say i already had someone i think it was (goku) say the same thing and i warned at that time that i was here to present what i have done not take advice .. but as usual no one reads the posts ... they are just picture hungry.

See i had started that post asking for help but all the guys in the site basically were bitchin among themselves ....and not coming up with anything ...Apart from the cryo freezing (very helpful thanks there). Then i found out i was the only guy taking it this far .. Now i had come to you "Americans" because of your work on the unknown (eg hondaS) .thinking that you guys would have gone rank on one of these by now ... So i was like "OH SHIT...." It's one thing to just slap a t28 or t 3 to a motor it's another to put a t66 on it and put stuupid boost through it ...

So i began the project . Now I understand your questions and yes i wanted to answer them i had no fear to reply what annoyed was the point and pointing and point ... i had put a lot of effort into this car and to have someone come along and start picking apart the car when there was none to compare to was offensive. .. Now i'm not saying i don't have a little ego on the car for sure ... hell i was doing some poineering on this engine so i was like "hope to hell this works" type of thing .. So it has to get a little personal .. espically when it's your own car ...

Now on your questions ...Well the 700 cc sards are actually a lot higher ... japs are funny ppl ..... see they actually bench 780cc at 45 psi ... I have done the same test on justindsm 660cc which turned out exactly 660 cc ... so i know this flow bench to be accurate ... so really they are 780cc ... but i rather like to down play things as bossting gets you a short head quickly ... Ohh and on the idea of methanol it was only going to be a test run and also i also knew i'd have to go a bank of extra 700cc or even 1000 and two pumps at least .. as methanol needs twice the amount of petrol .. It was only an idea .. and probably one never to bear fruit . .

Your question on the one wastegate ... When i sourced the turbo it was the recommend wastegate for it at the time (2 1/2 yrs ago) and basically they were throwing at me for a nice price and i was getting startup warranty when ever i got it started and dyno run. . .

On the 12:1 mixture .. its to rich on cruise and to lean for power ..I talked to rob smith and kana (apexi tuner) they say on unknown engine types go with exhaust gauge temps ... this way you know the temp of the piston to a degree and that way if you need to run rich to keep the exhaust cool then do so ... so i will not know the finally mixture till it's done ... but my target temperature is 850 degrees as ross told me their piston is 1200 degree i think which by the time it hits the exhaust has cooled ...

On the question of why such high boost is the high lift cams ... and the very heavy ported head which has a different combustion chamber design .. and i mean VERY different ... IT allows a higher flow rate and this allow me higher boost plus with 7:1 what's to stop me from trying higher boost remeber nothing has ever been done like this to this motor and most tuners in jap and aus run in the 2 bar area . .

On the inlet manifold ... yes equal length runners ... with a 45 degree cut off towards brake booster (right hand drive). . Also helped on air flow rate to number one cylinder as well ... Also on the block ... Its cast iron and i have had it treated and also sonic tested .. it's a thick as an ox and stronger than most of what these guys think . . but to be honest i have another block and assembly ready incase ...(but like all nissan products they are usually stronger than you'd think .. i believe it'll hold quite well but on normal street i would be only doing 1.5 bar ... and 2.0 bar on specials events ... anyway ... But like everyone on all car site .. they only want to see the big numbers :P ... So no block guard in fact it annoyed me that i couldn't really find any good head studs ...i tried everything and every thing .. so that is my most biggest fear point on the big boost ... but well maybe someone will come up with something there ...

NOw to the comment on sucking your dick that was uncalled for ?? Did i verbally abuse you . no i just indicated who had annoyed me. You say it was a temper tantrum .. yes i had warned ppl earlier on that i was getting tired of immature stuff on my thread ... and i suppose the propane thing which had nothing to do with my thread and you seemed to be powering the thread in that direction . also brought me to annoyance ...

I have no ill towards you in general ... And that is the truth . but it just came across as full smart arse preaching .... If it wasn't fine .. then it is just miscommunication. . Now on the rest of the comments by the rest ... Well you can see i'm not really in a mood to start another thread ... It's a shame ... I don't mind questions .. and i don't even mind ideas ... but when it's tall poppy syndrome then ... what's the point . .

Now i can't remeber all the questions you asked .. but by all means fire away .... And for those who where so cynical on the engine being dead ... it ain't it's just at the paint shop ....So relax ... when it blows .. i'll not be running as you can now see ... i also have 2 boxes lined up for this car as well .. .and a spare cltuch is in stock with my clutch supplier ...

Well there ... So .. if this explains my actions i hope it does ..and for those who jumped off the handle and started just ripping into me .... You now wonder why honda and DSm guys laugh at US (all of us). .. They at least direct there laughs away from there fellow car mates ... I Did not come on heer as god like ... in fact i thought you's to be higher than me ....and i also had said i was proud of the altima and in one post some where on this forum i had backed up what i thought of the altima and why i had gone down this path and not just the skyline,300zx or supra path ...

well .... thats it ....

Nice to see you back david. By writing your review, you've earned a lot of respect. I'm sorry that most of us came out as assholes, but that's the nature of some people here. I'll admit I'm one myself sometimes. Welcome back.

Now, all hard feelings behind us, can you give us an update of what's going on and possibly post the pictures back up?

it's at paint .. and i've left the bump shop (paul jenning owner and the painter italian jo ) to do what they do best .. we are talking these guys looked at my front bar and picked it apart (they are mainly metal workers) but still they think it was a hard task to do the fibreglass and were just annoyed at the product not being fully finished ... So anyway they are cleaning all areas and gaps on the car .. . (their experience is mainly in ferrai ,BMW and mercedes .. so my low life car is a sort of oddity there at the moemtn sitting next to a austin martin getting a restore. . )

So in most terms .. it's just sit back and wait .. and yes i did disable the car ...no idiot driving my car at the shop :P
