Other than a lawyer to fix the tickets you'll get for having illegal license plate lights, then nope, they should work just fine...

Thanks for all the info in this thread. I ordered a set of 194 tower 3's (link third one down) for the puddle lights last night. I know they are a bit bigger than stock, but it seems like there is enough room for them to fit. I'm planning on using them as the gauge to see if they'll fit in the plate and side markers.

I'll probably order up a set of the 194 supernovas for the plate though, the pics from this thread sold me on them. I'm still debating on what size to get for the brake lights. I'm leaning towards the 3157's with 48 SMTs, but I think the ones that Rupp put in look good too.

As for the trunk light discusssion, I was thinking about doing a few of these. I also wanted to get one and try it in the dome light. Oznium ships it with 194 connectors and the festoon connectors, a very nice touch on their part. Anyone tried these yet?

One other thing I was wondering is if anyone knows what the stock LED color is called or what is chemical name is? Its not my favorite, but it would just take too much $$$ to switch everything off that red/orange color. If its pretty standard, I'm guessing it similar to the orange that oznium sells, but if their orange is too yellow (so more of an amber orange instead of a red orange) it might look really bad. Does anyone have any pics with red interior leds or orange interior leds? I'd like to do some footwell lighting and underseat lighting that goes on and off with the interior lights.

Again, this thread has been a great help, I'll keep you guys posted as I start doing stuff.

hate to dig up an old thread but since my question is related to the hoens ruppster used...

just bought a set of the xenonmatch plus bulbs and want to get them in asap. being that the wattage is 25w over stock i was worried about putting them in on the stock connector. is a ceramic pig tail REALLY necessary or just advised?

also, what part of the harness actually gets damaged? is it simply the connection of the pig tail to the bulb or can the over-wattage damage the wiring on the cars harness?

im probably going to just get a ceramic pig tail for them and make my own harness extension so i can swap back but i figured id ask anyway.

I'm willing to say that it's advised, although strongly. I ran them for 9,000 miles with no issues before I traded the car. I ran into the new owner almost 6 months later, and they were still in there working just fine.
