Yes they are the thin LED strips and not the thicker flexible LED strips.

I just put them on the headlight with the double-sided 3M tape on the back of the strips. Seemed like a tight squeeze in between the headlight and the bumper.

the LED strips came with 3M double sided tape on the back so I just applied it directly onto the bottom of the headlight.

I used the thin LED strips, but if you were to go with the flexible LED strips, then maybe you can squeeze them in between the bumper and the headlight.

paint the grille black.

rewire the leds so they can come on without the fogs / drl.

too many lights + tacky grille = a horrible mess.

I was thinking about painting the grille black, but then thought maybe put a vinyl on them this way I can go back if I don't like it.

Yea I agree it's too many lights, didn't have a switch or fuse so I just wired them to the fogs temporarily

Any1 know if I could just hook the LED's directly to a switch and the battery?

Car looks like a circus in the front, In the pics, the turns are amber, LED strips look blue, fogs look purple then you have oven racks on it...im not a chrome hater, but i think the 4th gen's grille area is too large for ALL chrome

the "i have big gaps between my body panels and headlight so i might as well shove some shit in there" approach looks too much like a hack job imo. someone should try to put in inside the headlight

hack job my ass :P

But I agree, there is too much going on in the front with the chrome and all. Either the lights go or the chrome goes.

my prob w/ the led strip outside the headlight is that during the daytime it looks out of place, something that would be prevented if installed inside the lamp.

i'm not too familiar w/ the space and layout of our headlights, but is it possible to do something like this? same concept, but the led strip following the lower countours of the lights within the headlight

i kno my opinion is against the grain, but i still say outside is kinda wack =p

lol, its cool. it doesn't look like there's much space to squeeze the strips in without it being an eyesore.

yes i have white LED strips but I white balanced that photo to get rid of the extremely blue apperance. in real life, it's actually white. the only reason his photo shows it being blue is because of all the other lights interfering with the camera.
