Installed Nissan side window deflector & hood deflector

Finally received my package from Vancouver, Canada. Thanks to my brother-in-law who mailed it to me. I got the Nissan side window deflectors and a hood deflector. Took me couple of hours to get it installed.

The side window deflectors stick on from the outside with 3M tape and has a nice tapered edge at the ends. It doesn't have any Nissan logo printed on it. The hood deflector is held on with clips and 2 screws, and it has an etched Nissan logo on the bottom corner. I am sure I will get mixed opinions on the hood deflector. I will keep it on for now so you can see what it looks like.

Both items are made in Canada so maybe that is why it's not available in the US. Hopefully they will have them soon for US owners. Both items with 5 day express shipping came to $210.

Here are the pics.

I don't really like the hood deflector, but I do like the window deflectors.

Haven't driven the car yet, but it shouldn't make any noise. I have had them on other cars before with no problem.

I like the kit very much. I think the hood deflector will look fine on my dark grey.

I have the hood deflector on my black altima. Can hardly tell its there. I have noticed that bugs would hit the windshield more middle to higher as well as rocks. Built well and looks good.

I was under the impression that the side deflectors were in channel and not stick on to the outside of the door. Are they direct from Nissan or aftermarket? From Nissan Canada website:

Side Window Deflectors
Add a sleek look to your Altima while reducing wind noise when your windows are open. These side window deflectors are precision crafted and install quickly and easily with no need for unsightly exterior tape.

Definately looks good!

Deflector looks decent IMO. It probably integrates seamlessly with the rest of the front nose mask.

Out of curiosity, any Idea of how much the roof rack costs in Canada? I don't understand why we can't get these options here in the states. Those of us in Vermont and the northern states could benifit from the block heater as well as the roof rack with Ski/snowboard attachments. I think any accessories should be available anywhere as they are just accessories. Makes no sense to me.

We're about 2 hours from the border so it might be worth a trip to visit our northern friends and pick up a few accessories.

canadiantj - that deflector was ordered directly from Nissan, I actually had to wait a week for the parts dept to get it in; the packaging and instructions of both parts are in Nissan's name; it's interesting the website's description says no tape but I know this is the only type you can get for the Altima at this time, and you can only get it through Nissan Canada

specboy - I don't know the cost of the roof rack, but you should definitely call the Canadian dealer first before driving 2 hours because they most likely don't have these stocked; I totally agree with you on the fact that accessories should be made available to both US and Canada; it seems to me that Nissan has always been very slow and lacking in making any kind of accessories for all the Nissan cars; a few weeks ago, I got to see a 5" binder catalog of Honda accessories for their entire car lineup - it was flipping unbelievable; maybe Nissan just don't want to be bothered with spending the time and money in developing these things
