Fujita Short Ram Intake Installed + Pics

So I've had the short ram intake installed for a few days now and it sounds amazing. However, I do have one gripe about this intake kit as you will see in the pictures. The sound is beastly and I will update the thread with video as soon as I have the chance to go out and record but it is louuuuud! I did notice a strange vibration and sound around 1200rpms but im going to have to look into that further.

here is the kit and my dog standing guard (lol at free bottle of nos energy drink)

here it is installed

a closer look

here is my issue with the intake. a part of the filter as you can see is sitting against this piece from the battery (1). now i dont know if this is a bad thing or if its okay but i would like to find out. if it shouldnt be touching at all im going to have to see about how to get it to not touch but as you can see, the intake is mounted on to a bracket with a vibration mount (2) so i dont see how im going to be able to have it not touch.

another look

i called fujita about this and they said it definetly should not be touching. he also recommended that we disconnect the battery to reset the ecu as well as check all the connections for any leaks. i still need to wait for my friend to help me out with this but i should be getting it done by tommorow so ill update you whether or not it gets better. otherwise its still sounding super sweet. how do you like yours/

So now that it's installed I need to know if it will fit the Hybrid's. We have the same car right down to the same color except for the Hybrid addition. What is the part number for this intake? And after 3 tanks of gas Im avg. 33mpg with a best of 34 for the last tank, keep track and see if you have any improvements.

the part # Is sr-2825. i suggest you call fujita (F5air.com) before you place any orders. their customer service is really helpful and not at all reluctant to explain anything you have questions on.

update: i just fixed the location of my intake and the vibrations are gone. plus the sound actually sounds better as it registers at lower rpms. the problem was that all the connections and clamps were way too tight and the filter should definitely not be touching any part of the battery. what you want to do is loosen the throttle body connections and push down on the filter enough to where it will not rest on the hose located below the intake and the battery. you will notice when everything is in place the intake looks angled down just like the injen. you may have trouble putting the clamp back on the throttle body when you reangle the intake but you can just unscrew the oil cap and line the rubber part with some oil and u should be able to wiggle the clamp back over the rubber black hose thing. do this immediately as you will notice how much cleaner the intake sounds without having to deal with that crappy loud vibration it made.
