When I bought my car the sales guy showed me the Auto Up feature. Of course the day I bought it I was messing around with it and unplugged the battery thus killing the auto up. For the past week I thought I was going crazy because it wasn't doing the auto... Sure enough the hold for 5 seconds trice worked.
It all depends on your own abilities. I find them pretty easy to install, but I was a car stereo/alarm installer while I went to college for an electronics degree.
If you can take a door panel off, use a volt meter, and make reliable splices then the installation isn't bad at all.
you lost me on the taking door panel off.. hehe

+1 for this thread...
This is once you are in the car using door windows. But it is not possible to roll up windows with a key fob unless something after market is done.
scrutmonkey - I would not want to test out my friends car, cuz if it jams, he would be pretty upset because it did not jam on my finger...

[quote=KPierson;3489263]I don't have an Altima, I have a G35, but yes I've had the KPtechnologies window up module in my G35 coupe since I designed it back in '04.
Yes, for anyone that didn't figure it out, KPierson = KP
how do i know if my car supports the option to roll down my window with my remote. i tried the 3 secs and it didnt work. i just want to know if there is a way i can see if my specific car does it and if mine is just broken for some reason or if it doesnt then i dont want to bother trying to fix something that wont work in the first place. i have an 05 altima 2.5s
If you want the windows roll up, go to your dealer and let them program it for you. Just like the "windows roll down", to active this function you have to roll your windows all the way down and hold it for 5 sec.
