Question FUEL PUMP HISS NOISE anyone?

hey guys...i was wondering if anybody has noticed a slight but very obvious hissing sound coming from under the car... i put my car up on the lift ..and found that it was coming from the fuel pump..... does anybody else notice this on your altimas? ....u can really hear it when your crusing next to trees and bushes..i guess the ound bounces of the brushes and stuff...so u can hear it better...

Oh yeah. The fuel pump on my Altima 3.5 is VERY loud. You can hear it hissing away on one of my sound files of before/after aftermarket mufflers installed.

Never had a car with such a noisy fuel pump - a minor complaint, I suppose.

Late,
Trav

Yes at cold idle the fuel pump is very noisy, goes away once the car warms up though.

Just pretend it's a BOV
For what it's worth my Subie fuel pump will sometime, rarely, whine for a bit when I switch the ignition to ON. Goes away after that.

Check to see if there's a TSB on it.

You want to hear loud, you should hear the Aeromotive pump hanging off of my blown 92 Mustang...you can hear that thing whining from a mile away!
