omg this stuff if so cool and I cant even get my hands on an altima nav =(. If I ever find a broken one ill ship it to ya gt....just so i can see all the awesome shit rofl...
It's been delayed... the surprise is not within my control unfortunately. I am, however, about to go poke around in the trunk and look at the Rear-View Control Unit, and see if it is possible to hack.
I haven't been around for a while, but I wanted to let everybody know that I have some bad news about the rear-camera video hack. It looks like it's not going to happen. I think that it's possible, but I think that the cost is WAAAAY too much to make it work right. The navigation hack was nice because it was cheap. Just to let anybody who was interested know that I have given up on it. But I will keep tinkering with the electronics and such to find more interesting things to do.
BTW, if anybody comes across Navi unit in a junkyard for a reasonable price (read: CHEAP), let me know. I would love to be able to take one apart to work on it, but I am not taking the one in my car apart, and I'm not shelling out for a new one from the factory.

No worries man...you do good work and I for one appreciate it a lot. I found a company that does make interfaces and I put in another post that it was $250 so you could get video and then I talked to the guy and our navigation system is soo complex its going to run $450 and I have to bring the car in for them to install it. its at the following website: TV and NAV 2 GO
I myself is going to wait now because I could almost buy an entire standalone setup for that price and I already started with the visor monitor for $65. Whatever you can do Charles will always be good so take your time. Thanks
Well...I had the Hack installed today by a local Sound shop and it works perfectly. Thanks to all of you who worked on this but particulary GTCOMPSCIENTIST. The switch is located directly under the AC controls. To have it professionally done cost me all of $80!!
