The dealer I was at was all about moving units as they "said" they were in a competition for the month.. so getting it @ invoice was pretty easy, they really didnt want to go below that until I stated I was an "equal opprotunity buyer" and that I had no problem going home and sending a mass email to them and their competitors for what I was looking for and the lowest bidder would win (with no BS fees). So, they ended up budging just enough to earn my business. After the price was agreed on, I had to keep them honest with my trade which I got them to knock up another $500.. giving me 4k in equity towards the altima..
best thing to do is go in near the end of the month, not be in a hurry to accept the first deal put on the table, and not to be afraid to walk out...

Hi There, This is not a reply to WHAT I paid, but more of how much can I EXPECT TO PAY question. There are 4 dealers in my area, Kansas City, no one ever orders manual 6 - speeds, ALWAYS the CVT, for the SE models, just easier to sell to the public, , not real sport sedan / coupe drivers ?
Anyway, I'm looking at getting ( ordering ) a 3.5 SE, manual, Premium Package, with the now required VDC option ( $ 900 ! ) extra, DO NOT LIKE THAT fact. Rear spoiler also. Wishing I could get Frost leather , but that's only for the Maxima's, so probaly settle for Charcoal. How about Blond ? ABSOLUTLY want Majestic Blue, BW9 color ( correct ?). So this is pushing the MSRP to $ 30,400. So, what can I expect to finally pay for this ride ? What if / should I lease ? Can you lease an ordered car ? I would want her Smyrna built, if possible to select that plant when ordering.
What if I went with Frost cloth, manual, & only the Sport Package, MSRP is about $ 26,050. What would be final price ? About $ 4,500 for leather & BOSE stereo options is getting PRETTY STEEP, the only real options I want, lighted console is nice too !

I might be able to help you out Mech. I live in Olathe and bought my Altima from Jay Wolfe, up by KCI. I can probably go through some of my old notes and give you the low down on the 4 local dealers, I worked with all of them to some degree while shopping around. My Altima seems to be the exact car (option-wise) that you are trying to get minus the 6 speed manual instead of the CVT. I'd be happy to give you more specifics if you are interested. I have a post somewhere above giving the details about my price too.

OK... I'll start answering from the top... As far as colors go, I didn't like the Blond leather at all, not so much because of the leather (it was nice), I didn't like the "wood" accents. I like the "metal" accents a lot more.
The Majestic Blue is a great color! It looks really nice with the Charcoal leather.
As for cost: I used CarsDirect and got a final price for your car as requested for $1000 over invoice in your area. In my zip code you could get it for $500 over invoice. I would definitely suggest using them if you can't get a decent price from a dealer, but don't just go to a dealership. Send out an email/fax to all four dealerships and let them know that they are competing for your business.
The coupe will definitely be a hot item for the first little while, and you probably won't want to take the dive for a few months (like say December when the fiscal year is ending) to let the market cool off.

At the dealer where I purchased my Altima (Autoway Nissan of Brandon, Tampa FL area) they had a black 6 spd, charcoal interior, and the sport package. The special "internet price" they had on her was $24,750 before TTL and their stupid "$599.95 Dealer Service Fee". It was actually the one I went there to test drive as for some reason all of the 3.5 SEs listed on their site are listed as A/T, and I thought it was the CVT, but I digress. When I went there to pick up my trunk mat (about one month after I bought my silver 3.5 SE) they had it moved right in front of the store. Still I wish I was good enough with an M/T to have driven home in it , I got a CVT at the expense of my sunroof :P
07 Black on Black, 2.5SL with the technology package came out to 26,298 minus TTL (tack on another 600+ for that) I got one hell of a deal. It really helps when 2 dealerships are in competition.
I got a price from a dealer on a Precision Grey 2.5SL (charcoal leather) with technology package, ABS, fog lights, a spoiler and floor mats for just $26,301 which included freight (TTL would be extra).

I bought my altima about 2 weeks ago. They didn't have the car with the options that I wanted. The dealer had to order one directly from the factory, which should be getting here within a few weeks I got a 3.5SE Grey ext/frost int w/sport package, 20% tint, and clearBra for just under 26k.
I can't wait to get my car. I currently have a 98 Altima and this is going to be a very nice upgrade!!!
I placed an order for a hybrid a couple of week ago. Or rather, I test drove one, and I think they placed the order early last week once they were able.
I ordered a Super Black with the Technology and Connections package, sunroof wind deflector and the aluminum step guards. It came to a hair over 32K. Came with free tires for life, and double the warranty.
The sales rep is figuring that it will be delivered in mid-March. I didn't even think of the clear-bra thing or tinting, I'm going to call tomorrow to ask about it.
