2007 Nissan Altima with 2.5SL Package

Just returned from the Nissan dealer in West Windsor, NJ (Zip 08550) on February 21, 2007

Priced out and bought a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with 2.5 SL package.

Here is what I got with the car:
2.5 SL Package
Exterior Color : Sonoma Sunset Metallic
Interior : Blonde Leather
Transmission : Xtronic CVT Trans
Fog Lights / Lamps
Splash Guards
Anti-Lock Braking System
Rear Spoiler
Floor Mats
Emergency Aid Package
Aluminium Kick Plates
Sunroof wind deflector

Total cost of above stated car : $24,131

State Tax @ 7% : $1,689.17
Dealer Documentation fee : $129.00
State Registration @ DMV : $234.00
Lein on Title : $20.00
Tire fee : $7.50

I also applied for Nissan Financing and got a 6.15% APR loan for 60 Months. I find this important to mention because my sister was given an 8.25% APR for 60 Months just 3 days earlier at a different dealership. So word to the wise, know your credit score and know that 6.15% is what I was offered and fight for the lowest rate.

Additional information for all out there...The dealer offered me two types of extended warrenties :

7 year 70,000 warranty $1,201.00
6 year 100,000 warranty $1,042.00

I refused both sine I have the ability to buy the warranty at a later date (prior to my original warranty expiring) for almost the same price.

I am interested in hearing from others that have purchased the 2.5SL Package and am interested in seeing how well I did.

3.5 Sl

First post here. I am the proud owner of a new Super Black with Blonde Leather 3.5 SL. I picked it up last night. Fully loaded -- Tech package, spoiler, kick plates, splash guards, floor mats were the options. It stickered at 32,745. I got it for 29,500 (600 under invoice). This is after I got 17k for my trade in -- a 2004 Mustang GT convertible. They started at 14k too. I am extremely happy with the car and the deal I got. Look forward to learning how to use the toys in it!

Congrats, looks like you got a seriously good deal. Must be nice to get out of that Ford and into a real car.

Hey don't knock the mustang! despite all of the problems and horrible gas mileage and lack of traction in the snow and no fun toys in it -- it was still a fun car to drive 6 months out of the year. (yes I am glad to be in the Altima)

Hey guys! First post and happy to be an '07 Altima 2.5S owner. Looking at all the great deals that you guys got, I'm kinda bummed, but I still love the car. This car had so many of the features that I wanted pretty much standard. Well, I pretty much got everything basic except ABS (a must, saved my a$$ a few times in my other car), CVT, splash guards, and emergency aid kit. This is my second car that I've ever had and so I'm hoping I will be able to become as good as dealing with the dealers as the rest of you.
Went to only 2 dealers in the area and couldn't get them to budge below invoice, so I got my Alti at $20,180. Still, love the car I guess that's what really counts.

2007 3.5 SE CVT Slate/Charcoal cloth

Auto-dimming mirror
Floor/trunk mats
Kickplates
Splash guards
$25,945 MSRP
$23,686 OTD

I'm sure others had trade allowances, so the "great deals" that some seem to be getting can be misleading. I got quotes from four dealerships and my trade allowance varied by $2300. Eventually went with the "best" deal. At the end of the day though, most of us bent over and took one.
God I love CVT!

Is trade allowances the price you get for your trade-in? I'm just doing research for my next vehicle. =)

I have attempted the mass email method in getting a good quote. What do you all think about the price I'm at now? 07 3.5 SE CVT w/ Premium Package (xm) for $27,095. Should I keep trying for lower or does this sound like a good deal? Thanks all
