First Scratches

During the snow we got here in NY, I didn't clean the snow right away, and it got real hard, where I was beating the ice out, the next day I washed my car, and noticed scratch marks on the trunk, now wondering should I just leave it, or buy some touch up paint.

When I had my windows tinted, one of the guys melted a part of my door trim, near the glass with the blow dryer, I didn't see it till the next day, but haven't gone back.

How about everyone here, any scratches, dings, interior rips etc ?

Ouch! All that sucks. I wouldn't worry too much about the scratches, but I would DEFINITELY take the car back to the tint place. They need to replace the trim they melted. Wait on the scratches because you might get more before winter is over. First really good day of warm weather have a good wash and wax kit ready!

I noticied scratch marks on my trunk too? Water got on my car from the garage so all I did was wipe it off with a towel and scratch marks appeared. Very strange to me. God Bless

You sure you didn't pick up the sand paper? You shouldn't get scratches from a basic towel, but if you use a low-quality one, it just might. Get some nice microfiber faux-chamois... that'll make sure you don't scratch it next time.

If there were any particles of dirt on the car or on the towel scratch marks would be possible.

Nope it was a towel. But I have the The Original California Micromitt Microfiber Wash Mitt Amazon.com: The Original California Micromitt Microfiber Wash Mitt: Automotive I just bought from the store, so hopefully that will help.

Looks nice, just be careful about scrubbing in dirt like TCL mentioned.

*I wouldn't use it dry like they show... that's a sure way to get scratches.

I'll see your scratch marks and raise you a few chips off the front hood (before I was able to finally get the bra put on it)

Just lots and lots of cars on the roads going fast. I'm probably going to have to replace this windshield sooner than I want, so many dang little dings.
