First off I apologize for the quality of the pictures of my installation because I was using my phone. This installation is meant for lazy people, ie, I did not remove my bumper even though I managed to change my signal bulb, low beam, and fog lights. There are alot of zip tying involved, which is not the most aesthetic method of mounting the ballast but it works. I will explain what each picture shows and end with some night shots. Again my camera phone doesn't have macro mode therefore they are often blurry. OK here we go...
Low Beam bulb = H11
Fog Bulb = H11
Signal Bulb = 3157
Step 1 obviously would be removing the wheels and the plastic snap-ons that holds the fender wells together. In addition to the 5 snap-ons I removed, I also removed 2 screws from the bottom. After this you will be able to reach the housings for all three bulbs.
Here is a shot of the driver's side fog light bulb, its a simple twist off.
Here is a shot of the driver's side low beam bulb, also simple twist off. On the right you can see the 2 pre-threaded holes I will be talking about.
Now, in terms of mounting ballasts, there are some options: zip tie, double sided pads, or screw on. In the driver side, there exist about 3 pre-threaded holes but I do not know what size of screws it is, there is one that's size 10mm which I used to mount my fog light ballast. There are also 2 hollow holes (not threaded) that I used to zip tie my low beam ballast. I will show you below.
Here's a shot of my low beam ballast mount, where I used 2 zip ties which goes around the top and side rings from my ballast holder, this creates a more stable triangle.
Here's a shot of my fog light ballast mount, where I used a 10mm screw that goes right into the 10mm pre-threaded holes there. Again, there are 2 more above but they are not 10mm, I do not know what size since I dont have any screws to try on.
Here's a shot of my chromed-out hyper yellow signal bulbs inside the housing.
Now that we are done with the driver's side, the passenger side is only a little different. Right behind the fog light bulb is the windshield wiper fluid tank, which creates a good mounting place for the ballast but hard to reach/install the bulb.
Shot of the tank
Shot of the fog light ballast double sided taped to the tank
Here's a shot of the low beam ballast on the passenger side. I zip tied it the exact same way as I did in the driver's side. NOTE: there is no pre-threaded holes in this side.
WALAH! done! now gotta put the wheels back on...
Please feel free to ask questions since it's not a detailed installation thread. Thanks for looking! I will post night picture later once I get my nice camera back from my friend.
