The 2002-2006 2.5's are prewired.

That being said, I imagine you could pop out the plastic insert and see if there is a connector there...

1) Open Realy/fuse block (IPDM E/R in engine room)

2) Locate connector showed on picture

3) If you have wire connected to pin 86 and 87. That mean your car is prewired.

Have fun!

Did you learn this from the service manual? I'm at work and can't really take a look at it at the moment...I'm due for an oil change Saturday so I'll talk to the tech at the stealership and see what he says....

Yes, everything I found out is from service manual. Pictures are also from the service manual.
Somebody in this thread mention that the wire is there but they hided some where. Sound like its not be possible, but if you ask tech guy it will be great.

I have a 3.5 SE and it was pre-wired. I bought OEM lights and combo switch and did it myself.

The wires with plug ends come out near the opening of the fogs. The one on the right side was tucked up along the side of the fluid reservoir (either coolant or wiper fluid). You need to take off the shroud underneath and then get under there and look around.

I just checked my fuse box and that plug does not have wires in position 86 & 87. I have an 07 2.5s with the Conv. Plus package.

I'm not looking at getting fogs, but I'll check my fusebox as well to see if it is pre-wired. Just FYI.

2007 2.5 SL without connections package, no pre-wire. Just out of curiosity, for the people who have 2.5's that are pre-wired, where were your cars built? Mine's from Canton. If it's not the optioning packages, and it's not random (at least, I'd hope not), maybe the wiring has to do with build location?

Woohoo!

Wires in 86/87! Does that mean it's pre-wired? I tried to get a good look near the fog housing. I could see a black lead and a white with red lead going to a small black housing with a yellow connector in the vicinity of the right fog. Couldn't get a good look at the left fog housing. Could this be the wiring? Sorry, no pics yet. Got the 2.5S CVT with Convenience pack. Oh, it's a Canadian model. Just found the block heater cord as well. Perhaps that makes a difference. Built in Canton.
