Has anyone here successfully gotten a replacement or repurchase from Nissan USA on a lemon Nissan Altima? If yes, I need some help on filing a Lemon law case against Nissan USA for my Nissan Altima 2008 (see my previous thread on the issues). I've heard you have to write a letter to Nissan USA giving them 40 days to repurchase or replace your car. If anyone who has been sucessful with this care to share the letter or give pointers to writing this said letter?
I thought this varied from state to state. I know NYS used to have its' own guidlines that differed from other states but than it has been many years since I had to return an Oldsmobile to GM.

My guess would be that anyone who has had success with the lemon laws has had a car with real problems, which affect safety and/or drivability. Maybe for $30,000 or so, though, you could hire some lawyers and get the nits picked for you. Or you could trade cars for much less.
i am in PA and had the lemon law on my 02 altima and they gave me back my down payment and all of the payments that I had made along with taking the car back. I called 1-800-lemonlaw

Mine's starting to do it now, and it's really getting aggravating. Personally, I'm starting to find the combination of the terrible Turanza's and a squirming seat to be a rather aggravating driving experience.

You want to lemon law your car because of a seat?
People these days want something for nothing. I highly doubt you will win the case. I have seen many lemon law cars and this isnt one of those things you will likely get a judgment against.
If you car was in for engine repair 3 times...yes, you have a case. Because your seat squirms... no way. BTW...how much do you weigh? I weigh 180 and my seat never budges...never had a problem. My brother in law drove my car and he weighs 325 and he said it feels squirmy...
I weigh 170, I'm 5'10, pretty even weight distribution as I'm a runner (so no chicken legs). Every time I accelerate, the seat moves. Every time I take a turn, the seat slams to one side, probably a good few inches. I find that I have to adjust my foot position on the pedals sometimes, although I'm usually on the brake around turns.
It's just something that shouldn't happen, and to me, a seat sliding around in its tracks is a concerning safety issue.
Thanks, TheRupp. I've posted a few times on that thread. No solution yet.
I've been to the dealership twice for the seat problem. 1st time they replaced the seat rails. 2nd time they said there was nothing they could do. I'm about to make another appointment and tell them it's getting worst. Seriously, what the heck is wrong with Nissan and their seats? I weight 165, 5'4"; all love.
I don't want something for nothing. Actually I want something for something. Seem fair? I paid handsomely for my 2.5SL and I want a seat that 1. Does not move and 2. loves my behind.

I weigh 185 thanks. And a squirmy seat means a loose seat, and if/when a wreck happens an UNSAFE SEAT. Seems I just brought more light to your short sighted view. WHY da hell is the VERSA and SENTRA seats firm and in place. It ain't my fault Nissan can't get their act together. And I'll let you know the outcome.
