Like aftermarket parts? Or like ECU tune or modifying the internals of the Jatco CVT7 and the mra8de engine ?
The only mods I remember that is available are:
Megan Street coilover set suspension
Tanabe Lowering springs
Tanabe strut bar
Tanabe medalion mufler for the SR
Stillen mufler (will not clear, SR rear bumper)
KNN RAM type air intake
The mra8de's max torque is at 128 foot pounds at 3600 rpm, while the Jatco cvt7 transmission's max torque rating is only 130 foot pounds of torque.
Although the Nissan Juke's mr16det has a max torque of 177 foot pounds while using the same cvt as the b17, but who knows maybe they tuned it to have a higher torque rating.
I am definitely going to install the K&N 69-7003TTK - 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intake and the Tanabe
Medalion Touring Exhaust. I am not too interested in doing anything to my suspension right now.
Yes I was referring to a Custom Performance ECU tune.........
Do you and anyone know anything about the 2JR lightweight solid billet 6061 racing pulley that weighs over 80% less than the stock pulley at just 15 ounces. Which translates into less rotational mass and quicker revving. All pulleys are anodized, balanced and DOT NO require a belt change.
And if you noticed, 2013 models have an engine torque dampner that is braced on the right strut tower. But they removed it for the 2014 (2015?) models to reduce NVH, although the empty brace is still there, welded in the strut tower (and an empty screw hole by the engine block). I thought of putting one but I'm scared that my wife would complain of increased NVH.
If you have the 2014/2015 model and might be interested in putting one,
the part no. is Torque Rod-Assy 11350VA for the main dampner.
Bolt on screws 11510A, 11510AC
Washer 08915-4421A
I also thought of putting a strut bar but upon further inspection, I saw that on of the screws on the left and right strut mounting points is already braced by a beam where the windshield is resting. And thought $130 Tanabe strut bar would be a waste. I'd still put one if some cheap $50 ones become available in ebay.
