95 200SX 1.6 W/220,000 Mile !!!
Yes 220,000 miles and have never touched the motor, not for the last 80,000 anyway, before that I don't know, bought it for $1800 w/ approx. 140,000. Wife drives 120 miles a day to work so figured it was time for a newer one, bought a 05 Sentra. Anyway kept the 95, I'm going to try and get a few more miles out of it, I only drive about 50 miles a day. I just put new axles and new pad/rotors and balancer seal on it last year, still runs decent, only about a quart of oil every 3000, but the timing chain is now making a lot of noise. Looking for some help on replacing the top chain and related stuff, don't want to get in to deep $$$ wise with all the miles. Have removed valve cover and looks like the end of tensioner that rides against chain has excessive wear and maybe idler is a little worn also. How much stuff do I have to remove to get the top chain off ? Thanks !
