I too would like a better file hosting service. VB Garage sucks... the registry was much better. I quite like coppermine galleries like my "HPAddiction" link is. Otherwise I like the layout as it is now. The search could be improved, but overall this is one of my favorite forums in terms of functionality.
Edit: You know what else I would like... I miss the seperate Tire and Wheel Forums. I know its counterproductive to have two forums going, but I liked going in and seeings stuff only related to specific generations.
This site is death for dialup, even with the extraneous options turned off. Not reloading the page header for every single freaking page would undoubtedly help in this regard. Otherwise the layout is nice and clean, and ad placement is fine, although they were generating some rendering errors in Firefox that I had to exclude. Like Niceorange, I also would like to see Tires/Suspension subforums for individual Altima generations. I don't agree with the request to impose a post requirement before starting new threads. While it's true that it would prevent some spam, I once found a thread in the archives where, I believe, a single mother registered and immediately asked a legitimate emergency question about a mechanical problem she was having with her Altima. It would be a shame to deny the opportunity for others to do that in the future.

Oh and I totally agree with putting a 15 or higher limit on posts before starting a new thread. But only if the search function is improved. I hate when n00bs don't search but I really hate when I have to post a thread asking a question that could have been answered if the search was working.
for sure this site needs a forum on questions asked over and over again. like bolt ons options and stuff like that so the noobs don't ask the same questions over and over.
I don't think the search is that bad. just people need some training on how to use it.

The search function for the most part doesn't work. When it does it's ok. The forum you're speaking of I would call the FAQ section. I say put the FAQ section at the top of the forum section. That would greatly cut down the useless threads. I agree there should be a tutorial on using the search function but the search function has to actually function for it to work. Just my opinion.
oh, and some moderators that know the vehicles in the sections they moderate and are not just forum referees. ...

I think I've seen 1 of the moderators in the 3rd gen forums post once in the last 2-3 months...and only 1 posts ever really. I mean willdogs is a 2002+ forums mod is he even alive anymore? Overall the site looks good, is easy to use.
One forum I am a member of though has a private area, like I'm sure this one has for the mods. Anyways, you have to be cleared to be able to see/post in that area. Mods clear people on a case by case basis. I don't know if that's possible here with so many members, but it would be nice if 1, the mod actively posted in their respective section and 2, the mod for each section, ie 1993-2001, 2002+, Trucks, Z's, Maxima's, ect ect, had the ability to clear people so they could see and post in the private areas. Like I said though, don't know if it's possible with this many members.
Overhaul marketplace. You have my PM in your inbox, unless you've deleted it.
Overhaul search. That's a given.
Overhaul the smilies. Most forums are light-years ahead of this one when it comes to smilies.
Overhaul some mods. Some abuse their powers, some have no interest or clue whatsoever about the forum they are moderating, and some are not online to moderate anything more often than once a week.
