Thumbs up

Those rims look similar to the SER wheels. The back reminds me of a 5 series BMW, but the car definetly looks sweet.

I'm just waiting to see the finalized specs for the 7th gen. Personally coming from a former 3rd gen owner, the Maxima needs to be put on a "diet" and brought down in size and weight, back down to around 5th gen size. As for the diesel option, nothing new, though it would be nice again. The 1981-1984 Maxima had the option for a diesel powerplant, Nissan simply removed it as an option on the 1985 and up models.

Based on the pics I've seen it looks like this car is a little bit larger than what I pictured in my mind. I hope it really handles like a 4 door sports car. Nissan needs to provide some major competition in this segment. The Infiniti brand does well, but it's at a much higher price than most typical 'volume' vehicles.

I like the head on shot, car looks nice there, but from side angles I really don't like the headlights

Nah. I'd rather get a G35 sedan. The only thing left going for the Maxima is the diesel. And better seats (and memory to boot) than the Altima.

Those headlights look totally hideous!?!
Awesome interior though... very close to that of the G35/M35.

When are they ever going to differentiate this car from the Altima???? Besides the motor, it reminds me too much of the Alty.

The Maxima needs to stand alone from all the other Nissan models
