I've been happy with my proxes 4s. i do feel them get loose once in a while if i push them too hard. keep in mind that the proxes 4 are "all season", not the greatest for hard cornering. r's are definitely made for that.
the g-force tires look cool, but i read a lot of reviews that said they lose traction quickly after tread is only slightly worn out. that was the main reason i went with the toyos.

Any one had the Proxes in the snow yet? They're at the top of my list for my next tire and I'm in need of a good all-season for the Midwest winters.

I have Proxes in 235/45/17 and they are nice. My previous tires were Falken 512s and the Proxes are better in terms of being more quiet and have firmer sidewalls (for any given tire pressure). The 512s were better in terms of straight line traction, but the Proxes are better around turns, due to the stiffer sidewalls. Wet traction is about equal on both. I haven't had the Proxes in snow yet, but I have heard nothing but good reviews about them in the snow. Obviously, nothing beats some dedicated winter tires if we're talking heavy heavy snow and ice.

And btw, I have a pair of Blizzak LM-22 winter tires in 235/50/17 with low tread wear I'm looking to sell if anyone is interested.

I love my proxes 4's. Ordered them from Welcome to East Coast Tires. Good price and very fast shipping.

We don't get much snow in Portland, but on the first day we did, my car was worthless with those Bridgestone Potenzas that came on it. With chains I got it to a Les Schwab's tire dealer and put the Proxes 4s on it, and I had no problems in the snow. They are a great all around tire, and now that I have the NISMO suspension installed, I have been pushing them hard. They stick pretty darn good for an all season radial.
