2007 SE needs SHOES.
I will apologize ahead of time if i'm asking a stupid question, but i need to know if the wheel moves closer to the edge of the fender does the offset goes up or down? and does anyone know what would the offset be if i want the wheel and tire to line up as close to the fender as posible.
I am aware that changine the size of the wheel plays alot with your handling, i own an SE and love my handling, i would like to give up as little if any of it, but i love the way a wheel looks when it sits right along side of the fender, not sticking out and not tucked all the way in, can someone please explain to me by going to a 19 or 20" wheel how much of a change will i notice, and then from the factory required offset moving the wheel out towards the fender would that be loosing even more handling and comfort or going with a big wheel alone would be the biggest notice.
Also if anyone knows if 245/40/20 will fit on there or do i have to drop to a 19", will i notice a huge difference between a 35 and a 40?
Some of the wheels that TireRack offers say it has a 38mm offset and some state that it has a 42mm offset, both recomended for our cars, now i just need to know the diff in the look of those offsets, then i would also like to know what those diff offsets do the the ride of my vihicle, thanks for your input i do appreciate everyones help.
If there is any pictures on this site with different wheel offsets so i can get an idea that would be great.
The two tires that i'm looking at are 245/40/20 and 255/40/19
